An underated rts game imo is Sudden Strike 3, its probably the most difficult strategy game i have ever played, a single mission, Stalingrad, took me 49 hours to beat (no restarts, just pure gameplay) that was in the span of about 2 weeks.

After that mission with the four nukes I don't see how they could make it any harder

Agreed!!! Absolutely! I thought RA2/Yuri's Revenge was just something I was into, but it has aged remarkably well and is still looked upon so fondly and with so much passion 20 years later.

What I love the most of the trailer is that they actually show how we do it in RTS games, one hero? One squad? Please, we literally throw hundreds of units to crush the enemy, even with a modern gamer PC there are certain moments in the missions where you can feel the drop in FPS, and it is EPIC, it is as it should be, before the curse of overmicromanagement doomed the entire genre to ruin.

Have fun with it bro, i waited for YEARS for the final missions to be released lmao, all was worth it in the end. I'm currently trying to beat them all again this time on mental difficulty.

Seriously, a fan mod with new, unique units from revamped/new factions with fresh alternative campaign, not to mention new tech buildings and soundtracks. All of that, funded by a dedicated fan base of both the OG game and the mod itself, finally coming to an end (of story) after almost 15 years. I'm proud of this community.

@@4thsin098 15 years? If you count the pre 2.0 versions of this mod (which were just gameplay enhancement ones that didn't have campaigns) it's closer to 20. IIRC the 1.0 version was released way back in 2003. I really wonder if they're ending the story though...or if they're going to continue it with the Foehn Revolt campaign.

(also different units from the screenshot, I'm gussing just posing for the trailer :] ) 1:47 is the PsiCorps base from Kill the Messenger and considering the Psychic Beacon is missing Foehn are gonna have a bad time :D

@@ComradeFrana One thing for sure, the Remnant takes place at Point Hope, Alaska. Last Bastion will be established there. It's also gonna be Polar Storm + Aegis Impervious + In Utter Darkness (StarCraft II mission) in one package. There's something cryptic about Vanishing Point... (hmmm)... basing on the clip, I can sense that Last Bastion will be built on top of the destroyed Epsilon base of operations. What's interesting here is that Knightframes and Lancers are fully using Foehn color schemes. American remnants and some Europeans have joined the Revolt. I am sensing that the Mental Omega Device will appear at Withershins and IS THE GOAL of the mission. It has the same lighting as the airbase (with 3 Irkallas) teased. The tunnel underneath it leads to the next mission (Hamartia). Babel itself definitely involves the MOD, but I wonder what's the goal here? There's still Death's Hand and it involves the Topol-Ms from the Conqueror and those Hybrid Towers from Split Seconds. It may even be something should something bad happens, and Yuri and his army are running out of options.

IRL Death's hand was a nuclear weapons control system in Soviet Union that was meant to ensure a retaliatory strike in case command gets eliminated. So very likely a worst-case scenario doomsday weapon. Maybe soviets will even succeed in killing Yuri. Another mystery is the "hybrid technology" Yuri was working on with the old Chronosphere in Unthinkable. Something to counter Paradox Engine Time Freeze I would guess.

Westwood has been shut down for years. EA owns the command and conquer IP and they aren't exactly interested in doing much more than a mobile game and remasters.

Act 3 probably not come in 3.3.7 but it will be 3.4.0 or 4.0.0 I'm not sure.

Ah yes. Certain chapters has slight difficulty even on casual mode. You can start off in skirmish first to have better understanding of the units of each faction and what are their specializations.

Also the ending of player is hella good. Allied General (probably European): High General of Allied nations. Die after command Paradox Engine to collided with Mental Omega Device probably. Glorious sacrifice. US General: Die, resist Soviet attack in Act 1. Hero of the Nation. (I don't think US general and European general is the same person because we get to play in both Europe and America. It make sense if US general die in resistance, then European General take control over US remnant in late Act 1 and Act 2) Soviet General: Retake his mother land, promoted by the whole Union to become the Premier General of not only Soviet, but whole Commintern (Soviet, Latin Confederation and turn-coat Chinese). End up being control by Mental Omega Device but still be able to resist its power and warn Lunar base to not communicate or come back to Earth. Great leader care for their people. Proselyte (Epsilon General): Being the one who stand beside Yuri from the start. Climbing through the rank of Soviet commander then turn to Epsilon General after uprising. Is the one who can reach and communicate with Yuri's ultimate trump card, Libra. Trusted by Yuri enough that the leader of Epsilon grant you a title of his successor, he even sacrifice himself to distracting the whole Soviet to make a chance for you to resist the Allied and finally turn on the Device. You, now, are not just the Proselyte (stranger). You, now, are the Director of New World Order.
