A couple hours of testing time and a couple hours of reading, disassembly, and cleaning and we are back in business. Two cold starts in one video... MEP and the JD 730.

Hello, I followed your test and no click on the contact so I replaced it and still no click. I’m only getting 100 volts and I can’t adjust the dial volt. Any idea? Thanks, AJ

What does that have for an engine in it? Rpm does it run at seems like it’s Just Idling, is it an inverter type generator?

The engine is the 804a is an Isuzu C-240. I’ll have to look at the rpm again to confirm. It varies based on 50hz or 60hz, and I think the spec for 60hz is 1800rpm. Think being key.

Very nice . We are buying one . Quick question/ verification. AC interruptor needs to be closed in order produce power. Does the MEP need to be grounded when only using the convenience receptacles? Or only when using the bottom lugs / or always .

@@rickyvasquez3157 Depends on if _you_ want to be the ground. I realize that's tongue in cheek, but true. The lugs will put out voltage regardless of whether you've grounded the unit. It's an aluminum chassis, so it's a great conductor. In a short circuit to the chassis, the current will go somewhere and touching it makes you the path of least resistance. In general I'd suggest grounding. I think some jumper cables are better than nothing in a pinch, even if they are not 6ga.

I would bypass that P. O. S.

I think you need to run it more often than once every 6 months. The generator can lose it's ability to make power if not excersized regularly.

I'm more worried about individual components corroding and seals sitting than anything.
