First off, the passenger seat is all the way back, you can move it up. And you will be able to see. I just bought one for Christmas and it has blown me away at how nice it is... anyone reading this, go buy one, you will not be disappointed. Just make sure to tell them what you want . Got a great deal especially Christmas time. I have blind spot assist , back up camera 2 ways, driving assist, LED lights , apple car play, nice rims, except NAVI. But why need that when you have GPS on your phone 😊 mines a 2017, I absolutely love it!

This has got to be one of the poorest 'issue' reviews I have ever seen. Full of subjectivity and unfounded claims. Do yourself a favor and test drive this and the competition before you make up your mind.

I own one of these buddy the reason it doesn't have the features you are complaining about is because YOU cheaped out and didn't get the options!!!! Blind spot assist is an option, Sunroof (panoramic roof) again option, Navigation another option, you can even chose the Garmin navigation which is only $500 sd card, push start another option, and even disctronic parktronic is an option!!!!

Just this: last week only I switched to ....yes - a new CLA ! After 180.000 km trouble free riding, no rattles and cracks and an astonishingly low fuel consumption. Everything just worked and kept on working. Scheduled maintenance, that was it. Only point I do agree is that the rather small side and rear windows combined with the headrests which are quite beefy do sometimes obstruct part of the view. So, get yourself a CLA but order the blind spot monitor and the reverse camera. The choice of Hp is yours...

I just bought that exact car with everything upgraded and me and my wife love the shit out of it!

I just got a 2017 motorsport edition used. The original sticker was in the log book. It was $54,000 and it's bad ass. Full AMG kit on the 250. Brakes, suspension, interior, body, everything AMG. It even has Recaro seats. It's an awesome car.

I have the 2017 CLA Shooting Brake and I like it a lot. To work and longer trips. Sure, I "enjoy" C, but definitely E-Class way more, but not really much from a comfort level, I just find them more fun to drive. CLA is very good.

car offers no problem for up to 5.10 height drivers, I've had tow and they drive great, changing lanes never been a problem since it does come with side mirrors and blind spot is not where the seat is! need to get it with suspension adjustment since sports suspension is great for interstate and winding roads, but a bit hard for inner city driving! Back seats good only for smaller passengers! The Navigation card you must insert for the car to read the maps and then it works! Not great for older people either, this is a sports car format, not a sedan!

oh my god!!! ive had my cla for a few weeks now and i was so confused why it was saying i had no memory card on my nav system! im glad to find out its not just a fault in my system. great vid.

Knowing that the CLA 250 4matic is 45% more expensive in Western Europe i think it's a pretty good bargain even with the issues you mentioned and i'm 5.10" so head room, leg room issues do not apply for me .

I have one and I like it a lot, drives great. Lots of power for 4 cil.

Wow! Comments section would make anyone but a CLA. 😁 I got a 2015 CLA 200D in India. Drives super smooth and gives an awesome mileage. Upsized tyres to increase ground clearance for Indian roads and upgraded to a 12“ Android system. It's a real head-turner in India and I love the overall build quality & performance. Rear seats are slightly cramped but it's fine.

I own this car and I'm 6 foot 4 and everything he is talking about is wrong. I can push the seat so far back I can barely touch the pedals and I have sat in the back seat and was more than comfortable as well. I also drove the car from California to Texas and it is a beast on the Highway. My Camaro ZL1 on the other hand lol now that's a different problem.

Good review. I was considering this car. So it is for single person with no kids that will be taking short trips.

Only thing I don’t like is how the transmission drives in Mercedes very wonky and late responding if you have one you know what I mean when you have to press the gas a second time to get that oomph , also the interior in cla is super cheap hard everywhere might aswell have been a Mazda so I got the A3 Audi

everyone's got different opinions about cars. personally I like the low roof with small windows it really looks sporty . I know the visibility is poor at certain angles but won't be an issue for a good driver. I'm a truck driver (18 wheeler) I know what I'm talking about when it comes to blind spots and trust me when I say people can adjust . what I learned about german cars they tend to have more issues with the electronic compared to Japanese cars . also maintenance is more expensive but handling is great

Aside from the the blind spot issues, the rest are just tick tack. Most people don’t buy Mercedes for all of that, they drive Mercedes because it’s a Mercedes and it looks good.

I don't think "budget" luxury vehicles are the way to go. However, you can get a really nice camry or accord in this price range. These days your average vehicle comes with all the features that used to be privy to a luxury vehicle. In this price range you can get a nice v6 camry with 270hp, leather seats, sunroof and all the perks. If you can't go full Mercedes, don't go Mercedes.

Geeez... I haven't seen any other reviews of other vehicles this person has done, but this is not a balanced assessment of the vehicle. It a pity it isn't a bit more "balanced" with some positives added in to be a bit less of a hatefest and a bit more like a considered and balanced review of the car. I am sure the contributor is just stating his opinion, but it doesn't seem very convincing as I felt I was being Sold on how bad the car is. It feels like there is an agenda in the background or some issues personally being vented here. (not being nasty..."Just providing my opinion") Im in Australia... and have recently unintentionally purchased a CLA 45 which retails here including Government Tax's here at just under $100, 000. I say unintentionally because I have a 2012 BMW 520d with 120,000 kms on the odometer sitting in my garage with a broken timing chain and hence no go engine. Oh, and I bought that BMW with the insurance payout from my BMW 320i which burst into flames on the motorway! No fun... quite scary! I still love BMW, I have owned five other mercedes from new from a C Class to CLK cabriolet, and finally an S350 which I loved... and each of those cars had some "issues" Just My Opinion, lol and some actual design issues or faults that most other owners had as well. I have owned two Jags from new, four SAAB's (back in the day), one Volvo and two Audi's amongst some others. Im a Real Estate Agent so do a lot of Km's per year and normally trade cars every two to two and a half years. One thing I have found, google any car and you will discover that every make and model has a few re-occurring design, mechanical or aesthetic issues repeated by owners. That's usual, nothing is perfect or a ideal fit for just one person as this guy seems to be looking for. I reckon don't be too serious about it, enjoy the good/great bits, relax, calm down and enjoy your car for now and don't sweat the small stuff or you will never be happy with any purchase! This guy doesn't even own the car he's reviewing and only seems to have had a brief time with it. I can say that I am very happy with mine, yeah some things aren't perfect design-wise... In my opinion...lol. But dude chillax on the design opinions about the CLA, it is designed as a COUPE' not a sedan for one (which if reviewing you should be across), hence the slopping rear design, and can I just say... that in my CLA45 im usually in front of everyone excited like a teenager with a new drivers licence (won't have it for long... as the CLA is quick) making the engine rev and pop... I'm 48yrs old, grow up I say! But its fun to drive, noisy, turns heads and quick. I am happy! Not what I would normally buy... but its fun and suprised me...lol. Have a great day everyone!

Hmmm! What can I buy for 35K? A Subaru WRSX, Mazda 3, Honda Civic SI, Ford Mustang 2.2 Eco boost, Chevy Cruse, ..., ..., All fully loaded and better than the CLA on every angle according to consumer report.

The left armrest is actually worse on a Jaguar XE. You should not expect too much comfort from non-American cars.

Excellent review. I am not rich. Now, from this reviee, I realize if one had $35k max to spend on a car, then there are better choices than this stripped down CLA. Dont get me wrong, it is s beauticul car. But some, including me, may thought many features come standard. In order to fully enjoy it, another 5 to 10 grand. Exterior is beautiful though.

I think you should have taken one for a long test drive before buying one ! Lately the premium car makers have started to make cheaper models but people here in Europe don`t like them very much because of the cheap feel ! That`s why most people are still saving up for the top models because we know that they are more luxurious, spacious and better built !
