They've actually done real life versions of this at Albert Park (Australian GP).

Thats exactly where I got the idea from, I always enjoyed them because they usually bring out an old V10 or V8 F1 car and it sounds great!

V8 Supercars are naturally aspirated. The whine you hear is from the transmission's straight cut gears.

The problem with v8 supercars is that it kind of reminds of the Gt3 endurance races... I think that's why people lean towards that than v8 supercars. It doesn't seem all too different other than the fact it's all Australians and all in Australia lol

F1 cars are designed to be as fast as possible but they're not really cars. I would more describe them as racing machines as they have no resemblance to an actual car. It provides for a completely different dynamic of racing.
