I have the same car (2018 GLC300) and same code. Replacing the actuator completely fixed my problem and saved me many thousands of dollars! I sourced the part on Amazon for $25, much better than $4000! Thanks so much for the video, it set me on the right path to getting this fixed! The DIY was super easy, took me less than an hour start to finish.

Those little hand vacuum pumps are inexpensive and really handy for emission system testing as well.

Hey, I don't have any fault code on the turbo, but I get a rattle and it seems ro be coming from the turbo actator. I can trigger the rattle if I give the car revs in short succesion. Have you seen this before?

Yeah sometimes the pin on the actuator side itself wears out as well, replacing it may help with that

I have the code p029921, ive changed the Solenoid and the actuator but the problem is still there im about to order the egr valve vacuum hope that solves the problem. Please let me know of anything else i should look into.

Where do you source the wastegate actuator from? Ebay or Amazon?

Ebay, Amazon, aliexpress. Mercedes don’t have in service, but is good quality. They are selling all turbo for 4k usd

@@EuropeanAutoRepair EASY PEASY, went to mercedes for the part ($150) bc i couldnt wait for the mail ($40)....took less than an hour to swap out the waste gate (however i did lose the new pin that came with the new part, and reused the old one)...engine light went off and performance returned to normal...youre appreciated
