What am I talking about?
My topic is the KE-Jetronic injection system which I try to demystify as much as I can.
For all of you to understand the system in brief - Developed in 1973 and being mounted into cars up to 1993 as it went in history. But why these to letters!?(KE) K(from German "kontinuierliche Einspritzung" meaning continuos injection, without interruption) the MECHANICAL injection system on which the fuel starts flowing from the fuel tank sucked by the FUEL PUMP and delivered to the FUEL DISTRIBUTOR which sends fuel to the INJECTORS while the majority of it flows through the FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR through its return line back to the fuel tank again. The letter E(elektronische Gemischanpassung/electronically controlled mixture adaptation) has to mark the electronic sensors (the developement starting from early eighties) which had to inform the ECU about the current state of the engine so that the ECU(Electronic Control Unit) then could create current signal in mA(miliampers) and send it to four crucial components for the system - the EHA(the electro-hydraulic actuator, a unit consisting of a magnet, an electromagnet and a baffle plate) which had to fine tune the engine in each of its phases, the ICV(the idle control valve), the unit which was predicted for the engines perfect idle, the X11(the diagnostic socket) where the duty cycle(the ideal mixture) was adjusted and the X11/4(the code reader) - the socket which from any codes were read if present using an OBD1 scanner.
An extraordinary injection system which could be fully repaired in your own garage using a multimeter and a pressure gauge only for its fine tuning, together with some common tools.

Hola amigo, aquí un aficionado a los Mercedes clásicos desde España. Sigo su canal, muy interesante para mi, pues tengo un W123 230E de 1982 en magnífico estado al cual revisé el sistema de inyección hace 4 años incluido la bomba y el acumulador de presión ya que me daba fallos de arranque en caliente, el coche marchaba de maravilla hasta la semana pasada que volvió a dar fallo de arranque en caliente otra vez ¿Es posible que el acumulador se haya vuelto a averiar tan pronto otra vez? Su consejo es muy importante para mí, ya que es usted uno de los pocos expertos en la materia que quedan. Por favor no deje de ilustrarnos con su maravilloso canal. Saludos desde Toledo, España.

Oui, 😉la voiture est venue me voir pour inspection. J'ai dû m'arrêter car le régulateur de pression de carburant et l'accumulateur de carburant étaient défectueux. Salut à toi, Jean!😃

What problem if the residual pressure hold in 1,5 bar but no drop in 1 or 2 hour?

Maybe the car is going to start harder warm.

Zdravo Ivice.u pitanju je mb123.230 motor 102 benzinac,kad je ladan vergla i nece da upali,pumpa radi.upali tek kad otvorim filter i pretisnem klapnu .Radi na leru ali gas nece da primi fobro dok se ne zagreje.sta je problem.Hvala unapred

Zdravo. Treba manometrom da se izmere pritisci da se vidi kako se ponaša regulator radnog pritiska(WUR). Da li radi kako treba, kao i kakva je smeša kad se auto zagreje.

Hello, what can cause bouncing idle? I change a lot of thing to repair that and its still not better. It almost stall (400rpms) and then jump to the 1000+... I was sure, that is caused by the potenciometer, but i changed it today and its still same. Set it for 0,7v. Any idea?

@@mercedeske fuel pump, filters, oil, injectors, potenciometer, temp sensor, spark plugs, spark wires, OVP, cleaned distributor, icv... Potenciometer and eha is setted well. So no idea now

Now i find out, that if i add false air on my 3 pin icv (you talked about in some video), its calmer and almost good, but after few minutes, its back for a while. Jumping under 500rmps to almost 1500rpms. Just for few jumpes, then its stable for some time again. But this idle is almost 1000rpms, and i think that should be lower, but lower idle is "hunting idle" more

It get better if i unpluged icv (1200 rpms) or if i unpluged idle switch (1000 rpms).
