Thanks a billion. I just ordered 2 whatchamacallits from a company here in the US. I'll need to get someone to do the soldering but this will be cheaper than buying an entirely new control panel. Thanks again.

Thanks! Ordered the switch at tme, got it installed and working the same day on my W251. Used hot air to remove the switches, and iron to solder them back. Took me 20 minute to get the job done. Very helpful video.

Dzięki kolego. Dzisiaj pół godziny próbowałem wyjąć płytki drukowane z plastikowej obudowy. W życiu bym się nie domyślił, że trzeba wylutować te trzy nóżki. Ale sobie wymyślili zabezpieczenie. Niech ich drzwi ścisną.

We were able to get this problem fixed with a software update here in USA. It became obvious to me it was software when I replaced the batterie(s) yes, plural. The main battery and the backup battery were both out of the vehicle for some time. After this it worked fine for a time, then acting up again. That indicated to me it was not hardware. If it was hardware, it would have still not worked after the batteries were reinstalled. Granted this requires a dealer and Star Diagnostic to load the update or a very good mechanic. In our case, we were having the balance shaft, intake manifold, power steering pump & rack and whole other slew of parts being replaced while the engine was out. Former dealer mechanic ran our ML over to the dealer and did the update no charge still had connections there. All that work was expensive, but then a new ML err GLE is what over 70 grand US. So...you decide. We're at 237K miles now.

Hi, W164 ML63 .....I had the compressor overhauled & changed the control module....a/c still inop. Which pins lead from the ON button back to the compressor, I’m thinking about hot wiring the compressor instead of letting the control module manage the climate. Your thoughts?

Thankyou for your excellent video, what is the test tool that you are using? Is it just supplying voltage or is it it providing some sort of logic as well? Thanks Drew

This is a device of my project It is the CAN bus emulator that sends the appropriate signals to the air conditioning module and activates it. Most systems in a car can be activated this way. I am already working on a newer version and will try to present some CAN tricks in a Mercedes

What type of soldering metal wire are you using? It is a special thickness? And it looks like there are 2 types used? This will be only my second time soldering so I thank you for your help.
