Mercedes R230 Signal Side Mirror Lens Replacement

Replacing the turn signals in the side mirrors was more involved but absolutely necessary. The part numbers are:

Thanks for this. Attempting this today on my SL55. One suggestion to everyone, have some electrical contact cleaner ready. Spray it on all connectors since you can see a lot dirt gets in them. You don't want to pull these mirrors apart again if there is a bad connection due to contamination.

Hi my drivers side mirror has stopped folding in when I lock the car and is a bit loose when I drive along. Do you know if I can get access to the motor which operates the folding WITHOUT taking the door car off? The mirror you are working on seems to swing back and forth very easily - is that usual? Mike

My mirrors are not power folding. Mine just operate on a strong spring. I suspect you could replace either style with the same door card removal process I used (to access the wiring connections) and do the rest similar to how I accessed mine. There are just 3 screws holding the mirror to the car body and the wiring harness.
