Fix for the no crank no start issue related to most V8 Mercedes engines from 2000 to 2008. ML, GL, G, CL, CLK, E, SL, S class.

Wow! I should have watched this video before sending my 2001 ML320 to Mercedes Benz of South Mississippi and charged me $3500 to replace the ECU and 6 Fuel Injector... But still not working...:( Sad! @sev sevy - you are a Genius...

Hello, After a dry failure my ML 400 CDI V8 Diesel automatic transmission refuses to restart. I got annual all the fault codes and removed the air in the circuit nothing, I leaned towards the pump nothing it expels the diesel and arrives well at the filter. I even try to put gasoline on a stifle which I then placed at the air intake (air filter). He tried to start but also stopped early, I do not see the result that none of the injectors are wet but the return returns as soon as the diesel. Need help for the future. cordially

Hello I have a same problem with my ml no lights no crank nothing just a light of the left side is stay lighting if this method will fix that

Nice work! Any idea: Ml 55 2000 - Long crank then shuts off...1 turn of the key it cranks for a long time then shuts off- Any idea what that can be? Thanks

Sounds like CPS or immobilizer. What does the diagnostic come up with?

I had intermittent issues like this on my 2004 R230 very similar ecu. I resoldered and will see if it works. It works so far, but we will see if the intermittent problem goes away. I did confirm i was losing signal to the starter relay(1.3V, not >8V)

@@gerardosanchez1965 yes, it was a self inflicted problem… I was tracing down a current leak, and I had loosened one of the prefuse terminals in the trunk, but didn’t tighten it well once done. This caused a poor connection that would barely work and when the car was hot it would behave as an open circuit, which caused the computer to not have power and all of the symptoms that go along with that. When chasing down current leaks, use inductive current meters. Solved that problem too, the phone system was leaking 0.5 A current, so disconnected that!! Cheers!

I NEED HELP I just did swap on my w164 ml63 and it's NO CRANK NO STARTS !!! Everything else working lights on dash come on starter shorted also works but no crank if you turn whit key!

Life time electric connections +/- 16 years, after you must examen and maybe fix ! ... all electric connections in washing machine print, car prints, TV, .... most = live time 16 years

Hi _ i have a very similar intermittent issue on my 2004 ML 350. When I turn the key it clicks, but does not start. I can hear the Starter solenoid click but it doesn't crank - then on some days it starts up fine without nay issues. Yesterday it started fine =, today it is not starting. When I short the starte relay (K8) circuit 37 and 80 I hear the same click of the solenoid as I hear when I turn the ignition key, so thinking that the ECU is doing it's job since it's mission is to send voltage to the solenoid which i simulated by shorting the relay terminals - so I was thinking to replace Starter but very curious how you tested the Starter to eliminate it.. any help would be appreciated before I start trying to resolder the connections on my ECU if that may not be the problem...

we cant prove your fault of no start before and then see you solder the connections and after it starts. Take your word for it. So why do you need to resolder?

Electrical parts are soldered (welded with flux) to a circuit boards. When he said "resolder", he meant welding all of the circuits where they connect to the circuit board with flux. Usually those connections corrode over time.

Resolder is soldering/welding again the old soldered/welded spots with soldering flux.

Bonjour Mettez au moins 20l de gazole dans le reservoir. Changez le filtre à gazole, si possible en le remplissant de gazole. Branchez une batterie auxiliaire sur celle du véhicule pour éviter de travailler avec une batterie faible. Mettez le contact pendant 30 secondes sans essayer de démarrer (refaites 3 fois) Prenez une bombe de start pilot (pas votre chiffon imbibé d'essence) Pendant que vous essayez de démarrer, une deuxieme personne pulvérise le start pilot à l'entrée d'air du moteur.
