Thanks for saying that, unfortently i am not filming in any project this week and probebly not next week either. I got mantainence on my equipment and rust repairs on a Volvo 242 right now (not filming that) And i am still poundering about what car i should try to fit this engine into.

I am sorry to hear that about your W140is , those car are superhot in europe right now, refered to as the last luxury mercedes with that old look. And as you mentioned (or at least i understand it) its a different thing getting a engine to run in park and another to make it run and moving forward and maybe dont get the right signal from the wheel abs-triggers and such. But as always i have backup plans, there are aftermarket ECU-s that will run the engine both from Iceland (Baldurs) and Finland (blacksmoke) but none of them support the automatic transmission, wich i got a standalone computer from denmark but i dont think i can get them to talk to eachother. But as i started of saying, sorry about the W140 is , they are super cool looking. When i sell of cars i do tell myself that they dont dissipear and i can get another one of the same model later on in life.

To be honest all of the w210 are super low to the ground. It makes no sense to me since a wagon is or at least was supposed to be practical and with this super low ride you can't go anywhere even in Germany there are some side roads, dirt roads with bumps, holes. Everytime I see a w210 the lower front bumper is always scratched, broken.

No, this is a CDI engine, Luke might have pumps for sale thats got some what more power, but this one you cant go mechanical on since its common rail

no i havent done anything more than thining down the electrical harness , but i havent touched the ABS sensor yet just for that reason .. i cant imagine the gearbox will shift up either if it cant get any ABS signals .. i would think the car (engine) would go into limp-mode or some gearbox thing where you just can run it in first gear for example

Well buy one for yourself if you like the colour and car? i can do what ever i want to with the cars i own.

I have allready thinned it down (and i didnt film it) i took a thing i didnt think was necesseray like a power-window, cut one wire and traced it back trough the loom all the way back to its computer .. cut the nex wire from the same window-motor and traced that one back. And i test-started the engine now and then to make sure i didnt cut into stuff i shouldnt have. Still a starting engine is no guarantee that it will work when i put it in drive and it wont feel the abs-sensors turning etc it might go into limp-mode. So fingers crossed for me. I will propebly put this engine in some older car to but winter is coming over here so its the next years project.

@@Foffe2000 fi you could come up with a simplified way of wiring these engines so they would run on a standard ECU with a couple of modifications there is a big demand for it. lots of demand from people wanting to fit them into different vehicles but knowbody I've come across so far has worked out how to do it. The only option currently is a stand alone ECU but that's best part of 1000 pounds. I'll be interested to see how you get on

i think its lowered , and maybe then as a consequence the suspension became more and more saggy

i hope so to, i have thinned out the wire harness like 80% , other than engine ecu and transmission ecu and the original key, also i kept the headlamps and tail-lights in original condition and the engine still starts and runs as it should. But i still dont know how it will act when i get it into gear and start driving .. will it cut out cause it dont get any signals from the abs-sensors .. will it go in to limp-mode when it moves over surten speed and it cant get contact with the ESR or Air-bag computers .. i am not sure until ive fited it all into a car and testdrive it witch might be summer of 2022

I also would pay for a wiring diagram please let me know if you decide to make a post pr somthing regarding this

Hej, inget mer har hänt, motorn står fortfarande och väntar på donatorbil, jag har tyvärr lika många projekt som pumpar, så inga att sälja tyvärr. Har du fått ner 606an i Amazonen? Känns som det kan bli väldans trångt men häftigt om du ror iland projektet

Nej det behövdes inte då motorn gick igång! Om jag skulle fått problem att få igång motorn skulle jag som steg två eliminera stöldskyddet i ecu-enheten. Men nu gick det bra och jag behövde inte göra så. Dock kan det vara en lösning ändå för att kunna använda något mer normalt tändningslås i framtiden

Vårt i Sverige bor du ? ( kommer själv från Blekinge). Frågar för att jag har en exakt likadan mb 320cdi från 2002 själva, där tyvärr har mycket rost . Din kaross syns relativt bra. (Dörrar, framskärm etc.)

@@Foffe2000 hej igen. Förlåt att jag störde. Jag ser nu att du bor i näsåker. Det är en aningen för långt tror jag ;( . Jag har som du sparat bilen, bara för att motorn är så skön. Om jag inte hittar en fin reservdelsbil til panelen, har jag en dröm om att montera motorn på en traktor . Det var därför jag sökte KZfaq, om någon kanske hade fått samma idé. Tyvärr hittade jag bara konverteringar til båtmotorer. Det blir spännande att följa, vad som händer med din motor.

@@lise1255 huga ja, å denna bil var/är inte heller rostfri även om den kanske klarat sig lite bättre än gemene W210, å ja behöver ju kaross å delar ett tag till än för å se över om jag behöver ta ytterligare delar ur den för kommande byggen

Ja, en lite större pump och en ny något större turbo vore trevligt. Men först och främst ska motor och låda ner i nån gamm-bil och provköras så jag får verifierat att växellåda och motor lirar och går som de skall.
