used to be only in the deep south if they voted not guilty for any white person or any white police officer no matter what they did. which would never happen Mrs Bryant lies about Emmett Till (she recanted on her deathbed). Emmett was hanged lynched by mr bryant in 1955. an all white jury of Mr Bryant peers took less than hour to find his murderers not guilty. they only confessed after double jeopardy was explained to them. its the south the deep south. you white you still right you black overt racism stay back. the only thing that has changed was the GOP's southern strategy. it in the history books.

It would be easier for the jury members to sue. As private citizens they have a lower bar for proof of defamation, than public figures do.

As someone who worked with teens on probation, it ALWAYS ends up being kind of a dare (don't break this rule or else). The probationer basically says, "ok, or else what? what are you going to do?" In Trump's case not only is he on the same emotional/psychological level as a teenager, but he is also someone who has already learned that consequences really don't apply to him in any serious way. If he is placed on probation, it will not be a consequence at all and won't stop any of his behaviors whatsoever. If anything, it will likely be used to his advantage in proving to his followers that he is untouchable when he violates the terms of his probation, and nothing happens. It's basically being found innocent for a man in his position.

It seems that if someone is unhappy with a situation then they would make sure they vote to change the situation they are unhappy about. Donnie breaking the justice system is just another thing Donnie broke with everything Donnie happens to touch. Donnie has never fixed anything to make things better especially for someone other than Donnie. Not that Donnie has done anything good for his own life without depending on other people to do that for him. Seems you'd want to vote to change not only that but keep the wreckage out of the White House in charge of the country ... none of that makes any sense to put someone as that in charge of the most powerful country. He will get a minimum of 10 months for the 10 contempt charges, beginning July 11, and they are are not able to be appealed. Meanwhile, if he applies 30 days for each felony, his time in jail will be close to 4 total years when combined with the contempt sentencing. This will allow more than enough time to convict him in the other cases so he won't be seeing freedom ever again.

The jury should have remained protected in the order. Is this "out of sight, out of mind"? If any of the jurors report harassment or worse, this will discourage any future jury pool from being impartial. This is a mistake.

I see a man who wears a MAGA hat almost every morning at the Gas station near my home. We take turns holding the door open and have small talk in line. We've become good acquaintances. I'm as Democrat as it's gets. I'm a retired professional guitar player and I look like one. I've never judged him and he's never judged me. We get along just fine. We did have one conversation one morning talking about our differences in opinion politically. It was super chill. He said one thing I'll never forget. He said he'll always vote for trump, but he said that "Real men don't complain and blame everything on other people. Real men shut their mouth and do their God Damn job." It's the one thing he's super disappointed with. Wish there were more of him.

I am dismayed that he didn't have to take a drug test with the probation office. I work in that system and cannot believe they waved the requirement. If he didn't want to give a urine sample since this had to be witnessed, they could have requested blood.
