Pure torture, impossible to watch, full of mistakes, eleven hours long, packed with ads, and no chapter index... Videos don't get much worse than this one -- and to top it all off I concede that it's a total failure in the end!
I don't recommend watching this video. If anything watch the first five minutes and the last five minutes and then skim over the 11 hours in between as evidence of how much time, effort, and expense it took me to fail on this one!
Enjoy! 😂😂😂

Hi Dayton, just watches the group chat on JD’s channel. In case you don’t see my comment there, you can find the microscope measuring stuff JD showed by searching for “microscope eyepiece reticule”. You got a terrific price on that escapement meter! In case you don’t already know, a basic lab hotplate is a perfect substitute for the Bergeron heater. The hotplate is also excellent for bluing steel components, the precise temperature control means easily repeatable consistent bluing with the same shade of blue every time, so much easier than alcohol burners or gas torches for bluing.

I'm going to watch the second long video now. I like seeing the truth, because that way I learn a lot more than seeing a repair in 20 minutes. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Thanks! If there's one thing that I regret about this video it's that I didn't take the time to fully research and then examine how the power reserve feature in the Felsa F 760 actually works. As you'll see in the video I tried to understand it but I was thrown off track by the missing and misplaced parts in the Mercury and then even when I got the Stewag (the second watch with the working power reserve indicator parts) I accepted that I could rebuild it from the disassembly video alone and I didn't force myself to fully understand how it worked. I guess that my excuse might be that I fel pressed for time because I know that I'm recording a video, and I didn't feel like taking the time to examine and understand the mechanics of it. I now feel that understanding the mechanics of every watch I work on is perhaps the most important aspect of what I do, and what I'm interested in sharing. In any case, that's my biggest regret on this one. I do have all the parts I need to complete the rebuild on the first watch (the Mercury) and I plan to make a shorter video when I do that fully explains the mechanical aspects of how the power reserve indicator works as its first priority. Thanks again for watching and for your comments!

@@IShootWatches I am at 2:37:30 where you are missing parts. I found a site with pictures off the f760, but when I include the link my reaction is disappearing.

@@cooocooo3880 Thanks! I think that's a KZfaq thing - it doesn't allow links in comments. But I did buy another F 760 and opened it at 5:42:35 and you can see all the correct parts following that time stamp.
