I saw this drama before my marriage with my mother. She explained me how women struggle in a new house hold and told me about her struggles back in her early marriage life. Thanks to such a lovely mother because of her, our house is Jannah. She found a beautiful wife for me and helps us a lot woth everything possible. ❤

It portrays your culture , In islam inlaws are not responsibility of bahu she is responsible only for husband and children ... by living with hindus in subcontinent these things have intruded in our societies, but now in educated families there is lot of awareness and neither husbands nor in laws treat their wives/bahus like that

The mother-in-law is not the villain actually. She had also been subject to abuse in the name of duty. She has also worked rigorously in her younger days. The main villain is the father in law who could not provide a safe heaven for the mother in law. His time, his family's time was spent well by the rigorous work of the mother in law.

I think 💬 the son is elder brother and doesn't live with his parents. Shandaana must b the younger daughter. In last episode dur e shehwar says to her husband , " maine aapke baare me kuch nahi bataya , par apne bare me sabkuch bata diya " That suggests ki she kept a filter while sharing the story and a lot had happened than what has shown in the drama . Matlab , bacche k sath kuch bhi ho skta Hain , ya fir uska jikrr hi nahi Kiya Gaya .

I don't know why women (mostly women) in old age don't want to compare their daughters with their daughter in laws. If they support women, men will keep everyone on their head. Whether you shout / ignore at what your mother/wife is facing / doing, you are doing injustice. If you say something, it's called mansplaining or patriarchy and if you ignore, they will call you manchild. Isse acha tu shadi na karein.
