Honestly, I kind of like the look of having your lawn "framed" with a little darker green. It gives it golf green/fringe vibes without having to cut at less than an inch.

Question! Can I burn off grass to grow a new cool season grass without using chemicals??? Will the old grass grow through the new?

I remember you wanting to put down some Johnathan Green. Gonna be tough without using chemicals to be honest. You can try tilling up the old lawn (very labor intensive), but won’t stop weeds or even some of the old grass from popping back up.
