That book is awesome, a lifetime of knowledge in there, so useful👌 ive seen those bump push ball bearing tools used facially also. Im not 100% if the burnishing/polishing tool is the same one or not, they seem to be a popular build atm too. And definitely look into the blade type parting tool and holder, there much stiffer and i think they make a Aloris style holder for them. Just check the tip height on the blade and get the right one for your lathe, i think mine was a 19/2 blade, its nice. Mate, stoked with the reference book, epic find👍👌🇦🇺

The burnishing tool you mentioned is somewhat similar. I've played with making different types and IMO they're not worth the time and effort that other videos suggest yielding fantastic finishes. Cheers!

Thanks, I do have a couple parting blades from HSS. those work fine as well but Most of my issues are myself. :-) gott get that tooling perfectly parallel and height adjusted just right or I have problems. This book is full of great reference material. Great suggestion from @TheMiniMachineShop to pick one up. Happy to add that to my reference collection Cheers Mate -

I suspect you might be better off buying 2 taps to replace a tap that you have broken. ;)
