So smart to adopt a pair of kittens instead of only one. They will be so happy growing up together, and will keep each other company when you aren't home. When people are thinking of adopting a cat, we always suggest two kittens, if they can manage!

🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛Hey, friends thanks for hanging out with me today! I’m getting several comments with questions about our new kitties so I’ll take the time to add some clarification! 😽Our kittens were adopted to eventually, when the time is right and they are an appropriate age, be indoor/outdoor cats. This is VERY common and safer in our area and specifically on our homestead as we live on a private drive with very few cars that pass by (slooooooowly) each day. (We have the support and council of our vet on this.) 😽Our cats DO live with our family in our secondary building on our property. Pet allergies do not allow us to have our cats in our main home where we eat and sleep but we’re not letting that stop us from giving these sweet rescued kittens a loving home. They are in their own secured and warm, spacious home in our bonus room/gym where we spend many hours a day as a family. Their living set up is the perfect mix of plenty of playtime, interaction with our family and cuddles with a good balance of much- needed personal space and alone time which is so important for cats! 😽When we had our kittens’ vet come out for their first check up, he remarked how wonderful a space they were given and even called it a “kitten heaven!” Saying “I wish every cat could have a setup like this!” 😽Thanks for all the love for our new family members! Constructive and kind advice is ALWAYS welcome!!! ♥️ I keep my space a positive, uplifting corner of the internet so negative/nasty and accusatory comments regarding our personal (and well-researched and vet-approved) choices for our pets will be ignored/deleted. ♥️🐈‍⬛♥️🐈‍⬛♥️

A large armoire cabinet with doors would be great to store games in. You may be able to find a pretty vintage one on fb marketplace or at a vintage store. That way it's pretty but also functional. I think in large spaces like that it's important to have the furniture to be large enough so they match the scale of the room.

19:34 I use an old dresser in our living room for games and activities. It's nice to open a drawer and find what you need than just a shelf. I also got the extra large zipper baggies and tossed the game boxes. So much better!

I just recently swapped all my board games into the A4 zipper document pouches. Saves soooo much space and you can fit so many more into one bin. I was a bit sad at first destroying the boxes, but as I started doing more and more it was exciting to see the change and space emerge. I've done around 40 of them so far. And they're all in one steamer trunk now.

When my son was younger books & games were stored on a bookcase. Now that he’s 22 we don’t have many games, so they are stored in a basket on a shelf in my closet. BTW, after seeing your pantry redo it gave us the inspiration to do ours. It’s not Pinterest perfect but it’s amazing! Loving the additional storage! Huge thanks!

Great advice! 2 years ago our male kitten, suffered from reuccuring urinary tube blockage. He actually drank water, his own, the dog's and the from the tap... The vets at the clinic said, he might be stressed, when moving things, guests coming etc. (I know he absolutely loves everything new!). Then they almost went to amputate his penis, saying it might not work and maybe put him down after all! After tons of research (and tears, watching my little one suffering like this) I came across a YT vid, saying it was because of dry food (we had gotten extra urinary food, dry and expensive from the vet!) Since he now got wet food, no more problems perfectly healthy, no more traumatizing clinic visits that cost us over 5000€....his sister likes it, too... Thanks for telling the truth and helping ppl and animals....saving lives ♥️

We keep a house book. It's a binder that has all the paint samples for each room. (Samples that we used on the wall. Not extras.) Where we bought the paint with the receipts, warranties on large items, directions on cabinets, furniture, appliances, and receipts from all of our remodels. It works great. We can reference it when we want to repaint a room to refresh, but not change the color. Or just see when we bought something.

For organizing games! I love replacing game boxes with the plastic packets from Amazon or if it’s a small card game or game that needs a box not a sleeve, I’ll do a small acrylic or plastic box and label it with the cut out of the game title. I find them much neater and easier to stack that way

I wonder how old your "baby" is. :) When I was in the Boyscouts - decades ago - we were told to pack our own bags. I was about 13 when we started camping. A lot of what I learned packing a backpack I would have to carry myself, sometimes walking for kms, taught me how to do it for life. All of the non essentials stayed home. "I can wash my hair with the bar soap as long as I have some conditioner". "A comb is lighter and more compact than a brush." "Three days: one pair of shoes, two shirts and one pair of pants. Plus what I am wearing. If I have to wear a stained shirt it does not matter." "Always hide some chocolate contraband. Meals go wrong and you don't want to be hungry while hiking." Now I have evolved some: "Use a suitcase with wheels when traveling in Brazil and to the USA. Europe is backpack territory as there are many stairs to climb." That is to say: as soon as your child is of an age they can do it themselves, let them. They will learn from their own mistakes. "Forgot or chose to not take an extra pair of shoes and got yours wet? Next time you will remember."

I did the same when I moved. My rule of thumb when I started minimalizing was if I hadn't used it from a previous move 18 months earlier. But after I made my first couple of passes through we were packing for another move. We purged SO much packing and it was about 6 weeks between all the packing, moving, unpacking and I found so much more stuff un packing to purge. I think seeing our things in a new space probably changes our priorities. Or maybe we just don't want to deal with it anymore. 😂

This was so encouraging. You always weave encouragement and hope into your videos and I. Love. It. Our garage is similar to your office, but we live in Florida and it’s just so hot out there. I need to take a Saturday and just go out and tackle it. But today is just not that day.

We use a hanging sweater organizer for our games. That way we can see them all but they are nicely tucked away in a closet

I literally just bought 4 of those plastic lazy susan organizers for my corner cabinet, and I loooove them! It hurt me to spend $50+ on them, but our spices were out of control. When I saw yours in the donate pile I knew they would make someone very happy!

Was soooo excited to see a new Messy to Minimal video! Your new house is really coming together! Please make sure your shelving unit in your office is secured to the wall. I'm so worried one of your kids might climb on it to get a game or something. (I'm just a big worrier). You're one of my favorite KZfaqr's and I can't wait to see more simple living videos!!!

Kallie, over at But First Coffee, actually "decants" her kids' games and toys into identically sized clear plastic bins so that they stack easily, can easily be seen, and stay nice and neat. It also helps avoid game boxes that are ripping out at the corners, etc. Hope this helps!

💛💛💛 I have my gift wrap and craft supplies in 2 brimnes wardrobes from ikea, sorted inside with the inexpensive 3 drawer plastic drawers from Walmart. Got the idea from “Do it on a dime” working out great for me! I would also suggest storing the games in the home school area. Kid things with kids things 😊 I know lots of people use these large zipper bags from Amazon seem like a good idea to me though I haven’t tried that one.

Natalie I bought the 12 pcs. Mesh zipper bags on amazon and transferred all our games to those pouches, so much less space taken up in my cabinet. I took little tags and put on yhe zipper pull. I'll be doing cricut labels when I find out which games my grandkids will keep playing with. Big game changer and keeps the boxes from braking and loosing pieces.

For board game storage, I use huge ziplock bags. Keeps it together without the huge box, and it all fits in a cute basket. Good luck!

I think I have ADHD and over the past year I have been learning so much and finding ways to work with how my brain works. Your sentiment about storing things where you use them instead of the general "acceptable" place, like the manicure set, shocked me... in a good way. It was such a light bulb moment that I had to pause the video and stare at my screen for a moment while I processed this. Game changer!

I'm nesting and creating some empty spaces, so the baby stuff isn't clutter when it comes out next month. I'm decluttering alongside deep cleaning and this was good encouragement as I cleaned the kitchen.
