A Bioneer post on transcranial direct current stimulation: www.thebioneer.com/tdcs-omni-s...
This post explores real-life research by DARPA to try and create super-soldiers. It explores the 'metabolically dominant soldier' program and 'peak soldier' program. There we find cooling gloves that can improve endurance, a 'fitness pill' called 516, an anti-sleep spray called orexin A, research into 'unit cohesion', myostatin blocking injections and much more.
The conclusion? We're not that far from creating a real-life Captain America. And in future, we might all benefit from this super-soldier technology. In the meantime, biohackers can learn from this research and find new ideas to explore.
Hope you enjoy this one guys! And if you want to be involved in the home-gym 'batcave' video, then be sure to submit your pictures or videos at the Facebook page. Thanks :-D

One thing that might speed this along if you wanna get sciency is looking at how the SS serum works with cap. Its stated in the comics that it stays permanent without aide because the serum essentially works like a virus constantly reproducing inside the body and overtaking the original cells replacing them with the genetically "perfect" ones the serum creates. Just an interesting point.

The problem with this level of improvement is that it's a holistic issue, it's not as simple as growing bigger skeletal muscle, it's the problem of support structures like the skeleton itself/ligaments/tendons which aren't equipped to handle the extra load and the limitations of organs like the heart which is too small to efficiently supply oxygen to such supernatural levels of muscle and energy demand. It's like slapping a four cylinder engine into a battle tank and being surprised when it doesn't move very well and eventually burns out completely. This is why you aren't going to take a shot and turn into a super soldier.

Tried a little bit to research this topic myself. It's fascinating indeed but somewhat harder to find appropriate information compared to what you get about regular strength training or calisthenics. In terms of physical performance I think that gymnasts are peak human (almost trans human). Covering this topic on this channel would be dope!

I'm not really sure if the information that's available on the internet right now is close to how it really is, but i would imagine that the mindset would boil down to just do the damn movement/position, and if you're not strong enough to do it, then use accessory training. So yeah, nothing fancy really, i guess people are so amazed with it because we weren't familiar with it before and it's just now rising in popularity - just like how olympic weightlifting was 1-4 years ago EDIT: also, mobility is super important for gymnastic. Which is why it's important to start the training very young, because if they're already used to the mobility that they have since childhood, maintaining it would be so much easier because that's what their body prefer to have

No, Captain, it's not. Despite the incorrect assumptions of many YouTubians, Captain America was better trained than anyone in the Marvel universe, & his regular workouts would likely be superior to anyone else's, too. (I blame "Captain America: The First Avenger" for this, as it failed to show his hand-to-hand training, as well as his training in military strategy & tactics. This led to the assumptions by lazy viewers or those unfamiliar with the comics to assume that it didn't occur.) See the "Official Handbook of The Marvel Universe" -- especially the original issues from the early 80s -- for details.

Myostatin isn't so much a limitor as something that allows the muscle to properly function, animals with huge muscles due to a lack of myostatin genes also have very weak muscles compared to their size, but they're still good protein sources... though they don't appear to have anywhere near enough fat to be optimal for human consumption. The existing myonuclei synthesize more protein, but the number of myonuclei doesn't increase much (their density goes way down).

What I take from stuff like this is that science is a long way away from being able to make us better in any substantial way without disaterous side effects, and the benefits are so far all temporary while some of the side effects arnt, i.e. steriods And the question that arises is will science ever crack this code? My personal belief is that we won't ever make any real changes but I don't think it's a waste of time to try because if we succeed that will change everything What is also take from this is that there are no shortcuts, the majority of the goals that you want to achieve in fitness just come down to actually doing the work. Train both hard and smart and over a period of years you will see a substantial positive change that is as permeant as it can be

Processed foods, tap water and even medications affect us in such negative ways aswell as lack of exercise. Eliminating these would give a somewhat super human feeling. Taking us to natural best version of homeostasis. We can then look beyond, would the super human supporting supplements and compounds help if our diets etc are horrible

Look into Thomas Seyfried's (Cancer as a metabolic disease, oncogenes are an epigenetic response to mitochondrial damage) and David Feldman's (Cholesterol is king of the body's energy system) studies. There is also Benjamin Bikman's Glucagon vs Insulin presentation... Loosely protein makes bad things worse, and good things slightly better, but fat metabolism increase metabolic stress (more energy production, and mitogenesis). I'll have to look around for it, but liboprotein is an immunological agent, and a cell repair agent.

You cannot see your organs, but be assured your body feels young till you are in your mid-40s at best. After that, ill-treatment WILL, WILL, WILL demand back what you did to yourself before, just because you have a problem with your self-consciousness that you don´t tackle. If you are willing to violate your body like that, you have a problem with your mind. And your shitty ass will sit with me in the hospital, where i have to listen to your moaning because of how everything hurts. Eww, not nice. Maybe you start with a proper nutrition plan, a life plan that includes enough sleep, and get the basics of effective training first, if its about sports. Or you get Arnold Schwarzeneggers way, he sports a pacemaker and at least 3 major surgeries because of a fucked up heart from " supplementing" and party drugs in his peak days. Weed is ok, if you don´t exaggerate. Sincerely, a nurse that knows.

But you'll quickly hit the ceiling then. Even with the strongest will ever, there are levels just unreachable due to biological limitations. For instance, the highest human speed recording is 28mph (or 45kmh) by Usain Bolt, and he had to train years and years to reach this pace. Even with the best mind, you won't run at 100 kmh, because your bones, muscles and joints won't allow it. So in order to reach this speed, you're gonna have to undergo heavy modifications/augmentations, either through drugs or prosthetics. Same with cellular regeneration. A strong will might help you to overcome many wounds or pain, but in order to really increase your recovery speed or your ability to heal fast, you're gonna need enhancement at the biological level.

A FUCKING SPACE MARINE! In the Army the longest we have to run is a 5 mile in 40 minutes. If you don't have to run long distances don't. I would break it up into sprints 30/60s, 60/120s or even 400/800M runs. Running sucks but everyone needs it haha

A FUCKING SPACE MARINE! HIIT exercise is extremely good for the heart and body(look more into it). It takes far less time and yields just as good if not better results than long distance exercises(with heart health). However each persons goal is different, good luck!

The Bioneer They did, but they clearly slanted it in such a way as to allow Batman to win. (They significantly underpowered Cap & failed to credit him with abilities canonical to his character.) That, of course, HAS to be done if Batmite is to win -- no valid comparison of the two characters would allow it otherwise.

If working out every other day, when would you recommend cold showering?
@TheBioneer
@TheBioneer 6 жыл бұрын
A cold shower works well in the morning to increase adrenaline for a subsequent workout. Post workout, warm showers may have the advantage for helping to relax the muscle. But I'll definitely go into this in more depth in future :-)

The Bioneer Thank you for your response, I'll practice what you preach. I'll look forward to seeing your video because I read some medical reports (and maybe saw a video from you) reporting that Cold showers can be inhibitive after a workout.
