Sam Hargrave, stunt performer in Captain America: Winter Soldier (2014) and Warrior (2011), explains the workout he uses to look like a superhero, protect his neck, train his balance, and keep in fighting shape. Sam also directs Chris Hemsworth for Netflix in Extraction, out April 24.

Stunt dobles are all round athletes, most of them are experienced Martial artists, gymnasts, strong weightlifters and capable vehicle drivers, definitely skilled and versatile individuals, simply amazing people!!!

Not really, this guy is trained for this. Chris does the acting. This guy does the physical part so the actor doesn’t get hurt. They both put in work in their respective crafts. Both are integral parts.

Stunt men and women must be some of the most fit people on the planet. I’m not talking from an ascetic point and how big the muscles are but from what they can do and how adaptable they must be. A friend of mine is a stunt woman, really small girl but strong as hell, she can do backflips and martial arts and you name it. It’s really impressive.

The point is that stunt-doubles are not just doing risky scenes, they are doing whole scenes, every kick or punch. Actors should do like Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron.
