Great Hunt with Impact,,come early jan, I will be getting this one or t2. From the videos I've watched so far,it seems the impact give a really nice audio response on deeper high conductors than that one little chirp on some other brands, just seems like the impact alerts you very well to investigate a little more. Do you feel the same?

Thanks. I am loving this Impact so far. Love the T2 as well of course, very similar in many ways. Impact is very good with fringe depth response. Added to the already impressive depth it makes for a nice mix.

Love the Delta Pitch on the patriot. I can pick out coins and park trash like no one. Seems more difficult in farm fields and old rusty home sites. Run 99 tone all week you'll love it.

Usually you are so spot on with your stories as to how relics make it to America, but John you were just a tad off on the Amazonian ring. Little know tid-bit... the Amazons were known for traversing great distances to find a mate of equal stature and strength to themselves. It was rumored they may have made it to American way before that Columbus guy. You sir have found the proof that they did land her and were searching for a mate to wed... hence the huge wedding ring you found.

I can't say I am a fan of 99 tones...3-4 tones is much better sounding.

I have a simplex and equinox 600. And both have the stock coils. Would you recommend getting different coils for either detector or just stick with what I have and does a coil make that big a difference?

I recommend the stock coil for Equinox since there are some unmasking and iron tests where the smaller coil seems to fail and the bigger coil passes. With the Simplex I recommend the SP24 - as it really improves separation for iron and modern trash work.

I think machines like the impact need a second look In the vs equinox comparison it might actually be much more of a contender then some might think and I noticed the simplex and. Gold kruzer seem to really like old copper or brass items

I think it is a great one. It will likely stay in my long-term arsenal. Lovely detector at a good price for all you get in the pro-pack.
