Moody Moonlight Jiu but Dreamcatcher isn’t inspired by baby metal, they are completely different generes while baby metal is a straight death metal group, also with screamo, Dreamcatcher is more inspired in symphonic, speed, trash, heavy ,power metal and progressive rock. i really don’t get why people make that comparison, it doesn’t make sense, maybe just because you see girls doing rock ? 🙅🏻‍♀️no no no

@@soyedgar1831 Babymetal screamo? what? I don't think you've actually listened to Babymetal or death metal if you think that they are "death metal" lol, they clearly aren't death metal. Babymetal have tried several different subgenres to metal mixed with other genres such as pop, rap and indian etc. No song of Babymetal sounds alike, they are all different, the only thing that are the same is that it is metal mixed with another genre. Babymetal aren't just one genre, that's why they are called Babymetal, they are an entire new and their own genre of music that's never been done before.

If you read my comment then you will find a rare event in the history of the music industry in South Korea or maybe even internationally. 1. Dreamcatcher did not follow the path of the mainstream but opened an alternative path in the Korean music industry, as well as learning from the experience of the failure of Minx - the girl group in the mainstream. This alternative path is not something new. In the world of western music, Nirvana is one of the music groups that use alternative paths. Was Nirvana not successful at that time? Can't Dreamcatcher be as successful as Nirvana? On the other hand, this type of alternative music also has a high risk considering that many bands have vacuumed or disbanded because they have survived the same type of music without innovation. it's not surprising that Dreamcatcher's albums haven't always been in the rock genre, even if that's their trademark, In addition to solutions for large flows and local markets. 2. The stolen winnings scandal and several articles discussing the number of international Dreamcatcher fans is greater than that of local fans. This is what I mean by a rare event in the history of the music industry in South Korea or even internationally. 5 years Dreamcatcher survived without recognition and their existence for that long, depended on international fans. Unique, magical, phenomenal and strange but true. However, international fans also have fatal weaknesses due to the lack of information and limited capabilities of the company that houses Dreamcatcher. This is where the important role of local Dreamcatcher fans solidly and massively bridges every need that is needed by international fans. A unique and strange interaction in the history of music, I think.

Rock music is popular around the world, in Korea not that much. DreamCatcher has a huge international following and they are getting great reputation for putting on high quality concerts. The struggle in getting Korea to accept their brand of music. It’s sad though coz every single they release is a number 1.

I think Dreamcatcher are going for a royal concept. It's still nightmarish because they haven't gotten rid of the curse yet, but I think the concept did change. After all, the album is called Raid of Dream, so maybe they are bringing nightmares into other dreams. I also agree that a good bridge can make a song better than what it was. A good hook is also really important to me. Some people get triggered if the chorus doesn't go hard enough or release all of the tension that was built up in the pre-chorus, but honestly? Sometimes an anti-drop is just as satisfying.

I agree with you, Piri is 110% metal. As someone who was (and still is) super into metal, esp folk and avant-garde stuff, Piri is a fucking dream. It's pop, folk, and metal mashed together and it works SO well. A piri is a traditional Korean instrument similar to a flute, and that's that flute-like riff you hear throughout the track, and mixing that with the intense guitars and drums, that's pure folk metal.

Dreamcatcher and their team is the best combination I've ever seen. The music is really genius. The music video is really cinematic and artistic (esp the "What" mv) The stylist- they made the best costumes and fashion. And lastly, the Dreamcatcher members- the talents. That made them stand out, too sad. People are onto generic kpop.

Piri was my first song I heard from them. Been a huge fan ever since. Also love their version of Lucky Strike. I love Blackpink but I think Dreamcatcher has surpassed them on my list and is #1. I’m pumped for their comeback. Should be out anytime since they are a day ahead of us in the US.

Dreamcatcher can move up and down the scale between pop and rock so well, always keeping some elements of both genres 👌the closest band to dreamcatchers style in kpop is fantasy: pink fantasy if you want to see more of similar... Not quite as good as dreamcatcher in my opinion but it's still a bop

Dreamcatcher are my favourite girl group. I'm a fan of lots of genres of music, but rock and metal have a special place in my heart and Dreamcatcher just have it all and really bring on a unique sound. I love them so much! Also, yes, Jiu is super hot. I have a huge crush on her, tbh.

Since rock isn’t that popular in Korea, Dreamcatcher doesn’t usually chart very high on the main music charts there. They still haven’t had their first win yet, hopefully for this comeback though. They do decently well in the west though. They’re steadily progressing like most bands do, but of course, for a kpop group, success is expected to be accelerated twice as fast. Two year old groups can blow up the same as a band that would take almost a decade just to hit their stride. It’s crazy, but it is what it is. I still believe the girls will eventually get their due and be recognized for how good they really are.

Now after watching all the Dreamcatcher music I can find and that new song There Was No One Left (that doesn't seem quite right) I have come to the conclusion that Dami is totally my bias. Plus now I'm an ARMY, MOOMOO, INSOMNIAC. Yay, multi fandom! Except, all those names to keep straight! My biases in respective order Jimin, Hwasa and Dami. Nice to meet everyone. (I feel like I'm at a support group meeting, support for multi fandom member meetings every Thursday 🤣) There's nothing wrong with multi fandoms. I just L❤VE Dreamcather style of music there's no words to describe it. Metal, Rock, Jpop Kpop, R&B all rolled into one. And the amazing thing about Dreamcatcher's is Jiu, Sua, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami and Gahyeon does solo projects and still committed it the group 100%

i realize you probably won't see this but I love my girls too much not to share a wee factoid. a Piri is actually a traditional korean instrument (no i don't think they used midi piri in the mix, i think it's a midi piccolo) but i think it's really cool of them to bring an element of their cultural tradition into this very metal song

Fun Fact for u, Siyeon loves Rock music and Jiu the leader, loves Japanese baby metal. Btw I highly highly recommend that u check out Mayday by DreamCatcher. I recommend this coz they sing this song with a full rock band. If u ever curious as to what the girls sound like with a rock band, theirs ur chance. Mayday by DreamCatcher, check it out.

Love seeing you discover them. Best K-pop band ever... I hesitate to call their main music pop really. Would love to see you react to their special clips and covers, not all of them are heavy like their main songs, but still great. My personal favourite is Siyeon's cover of Faded, I really think you'd love that. Also the video for Mayday where they have a live band behind them (fans playing the instruments - lucky!! lol) They also did a cover of Lucky Strike and injected their vibe into it. Also for the future you could maybe react to some of their live performances, they did one for You and I and it has an EPIC creepy intro - Look up You and I dream concert. Honestly there is so much content to consume and i'll be watching every video of them you make :)

being not In the top 3 biggest companies in kpop world it's hard to recognize their talent but atleas dreamcatcher still recognize by A lot of people because of their talent and genre before dreamcatcher debut alot of them came from the group called MINX but that group didn't success luckily BTS make the biggest success in the kpop industry came from a small company who didn't ever recognize by a lot of people but look at them the really are successful .
