Very nice breakdown and hit the nail on the head with this being a fun track cause that is what Corey said this song and the majority of the album is going to be about, just having fun. I personally love it. It's definitely different from his normal and I think that's what I like most about it. When he first announced it, I was a little worried cause I thought it might be a lot like Slipknot and/or SS, which I love those bands and everything they have done, but the fact is, we have those bands. We have their sound and work and if I want to hear them, I will put them on. I was hoping for something different and certainly got it! I love how I have seen the whole "well Corey is just going for the popular stuff and mixing in rap cause everyone else is doing it" to which I replied: "Bish are you new?! Seriously where have you been for the last 20 years? Oh right you weren't even born yet. Corey was spitting and genre bending back in 99 before it was cool." True, that stuff had a more chaotic and heavy mix but it was still there. This is something new mixed with the same old and I love it! Can't wait to hear the rest of the album. He released another song too called Black Eyes Blue which is also amazing but has more of a blues vibe than even this one. Should check it out.

oh 100% lol. Corey was in "drugs" so I think Ronnie started a new genre. Ronnie has been popping off lately. Popular monster is constantly on the top rock charts, he had a big tour planned for "the drug is me is gold" which is a tour celebrating "the drug in me is you" going gold, he is now a top streamer on twitch, and is just having fun doing music that is unique. A blend of metal, emo, rap, hard rock, bit of rave and heavy synthwave. If you listen to "Parasite eve" by bring me the horizon, it sounds very similar in style. mix of rap, rock, screaming, and electrnoic. I would call it "cyber rock". It has a bit of a futuristic feel and a meld of genres. Cyber would stand for Cyberpunk rock. Since the idea of cyberpunk is near dark future and a melting pot with different cultures and styles coming together in a dystopian future, it would make sense

I personally thought the guitars were mixed too loud when i listened to it, its not a terrible song i just know corey can do and write better than that. the hook was just corny lmao, to each their own everyone can have their own opinion.

Its got a little bit of a classic Linkin Park feel (a little bit). Mixed with some Stone Sour. I'm gonna guess its Cory MF Taylor, to reverse what they say in the chorus.

Look up the songs that sparked the Kid Bookie and Tech N9ne features. Stuck in My Ways - Kid Bookie (feat. Corey Taylor), and Wither - Tech N9ne (feat. Corey Taylor). They are more hip-hop, with Corey sprinkling some rock/metal onto them, but really does show off his roots, and give some more background for why he did so well with the lines in Spit It Out
