This was really good. Howard is always great and I thought Jared was really restrained and serviced the song. Like you said, we know he can shred but he kept it tight and wrote a killer song. Also can we throw some love to Howard's pre KSE band Blood Has Been Shed? Their record Spirals is top tier. It is one of the heaviest, most intense records in my collection. Released in 2003 and it still RIPS.

THE best metalcore vocalist imo, the only competition in my mind is the combination of Joel Birch and Ahren Stringer of The Amity Affliction.. I don't know their names, but the singer of Asking Alexandria and Bring Me the Horizon are great too, Jesse Leach is great, but I don't think anyone can top Howard

The caveat there is the "metalcore" bit, for genres like deathcore, Alex Terrible is top, there are so many genres of metal, it's hard to say who is the top "metal vocalist, just too many options

Tons of emotions in this one. It was a treat to hear a lowered tuning Howard Jones banger. That was monstrous, and freaking a gorgeous hook that we know him for. The processing in the verses made those screams even more adventurous as it smacks chaos into your soul. Man, 2021 isn’t so bad when productions like this exist 🔥
