Developed by Leikir Studio, Metal Slug Tactics reunites Marco, Eri, Fio, and Tarma as they lead the Peregrine Falcon Squad into a new battlefield through dynamic, strategic combat. Players wield classic METAL SLUG weaponry, leveraging skill trees, perks, and a super attack-fueling adrenaline system to outwit and demolish flanks of the series’ signature villains.
Paired with gorgeous pixel art and fluid animation which faithfully channels the series’ timeless aesthetic, Metal Slug Tactics is a natural extension of METAL SLUG’s beloved visuals. Each mission’s heated battle is energized through original music by Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania, League of Legends, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, and Streets of Rage 4’s Mr. X Nightmare DLC among other titles). Metal Slug Tactics is both a respectful homage to an all-time classic and an imaginative new way to celebrate the renowned series.

You can tell a ton of passion was put into this. The spritework does live up to the expectation of paying homage to classic Metal Slug, which is no easy feat, as this series possesses some of the most impressive pixel artwork ever made. Also, I didn't expect so much Kanada school animation here. It fits Metal Slug just perfectly.

Fio's full name is Fiolina Germi, her bust (or should I say t*ts) is 88 centimeters, her waist is 58 centimeters and her hips are 89 centimeters, that means she is a little thiccer than Mai Shiranui from King of Fighters (When it comes to her bust size at least, Mai's bust is 87 centimeters, but Fio's hips are a centimeter smaller than Mai Shiranui's). The other differences between them is Fio is three inches shorter than Mai (Fio is 5'2, Mai is 5'5), Fio is Italian (her birthplace is Genoa, Italy), Mai is Japanese, and Fio's birthday is October 2nd 2008 (Mai's birthday is January 1st 1974, the KOF games are set in the mid to late 90's), that means in the Metal Slug games which take place a few years from now starting with her debut in Metal Slug 2 she is in her early to middle 20's. Edit: Fio is two years older than Eri and three years younger than Marco. I don't know Eri's BWH measurements, all I do know is she is taller but younger than Fio.

I like how the trailer subtly references each characters' unique traits in Metal Slug 6 and 7: Marco - more skilled with handguns, hence why he uses a pistol Eri - adept at using grenades Fio - often starts missions with a heavy machine gun Tarma - the Metal Slugs he controls deal extra damage

When I was a kid, I went to many children parties in a certain place that had a Metal Slug 1 Arcade machine and I would spend almost the entire parties playing It! Seeing the characters of such a nostalgic game in such a cool animation is a Dream come true to me!

Or they have to pay silly money for the rights or sometimes the IP holder or the license holder doesn't even want to Give them the license.

Probably heard tell of Eri's sick cover-switching grenade toss move, and tried it herself, resulting in flying off the unseen edge of a roof, crashing thru seven awnings on the way down, flapping her arms in a panic before landing in a basket of vegetables or something, but still managing to hit the target and send the Morden guys flying. Heh, Eri pipes in over the radio after the dust settles: "Good effect on target, Fiolina, maybe work on the dismount."

Hell yea, they are definitely the best for the games sequels. Street of Rage 4, Tmnt Shredder's Revenge, Metal Slug tactics, etc. It is simply with the Dlcs release that they got some uncommon issues. Besides, I am still waiting for that SoR4 DLC to dropping. July perhaps? "I want to believe".

@@mpo48 Castlevania was cool. I have yet to watch seasons 3 and 4, but I can agree with not having an ultra violent take on the franchise. I still would like the director of a Metal Slug animated series to embrace the cartoony aspects of the series without making it super violent.

When I watched this trailer the first time, listened to the music, I knew it was Tee Lopes! And this spritework, and the animation, so much heart and soul!! And I haven't even played any Metal Slug game, yet it makes me excited to try this game out!!

Other companies have developed Metal Slug games without really undestand what makes special the game: the power sensation. This is achieved by combining smooth and fluid animation, stunning effects and excelent music, and not only using _Metal Slug_ in title or just including the original characters. I'm glad you understood this, i can't wait to give it a try.

I'm in love with the amount of old franchises you are working on Dotemu! This is amazing work! Definitely buying this plus TMNT! These are hot gems in the making! Also let's not forget the Streets of Rage 4 DLC, which I'm already hyped for! Can't wait to get my hands on all this amazing content!

Holy shit, DotEmu is saving Metal Slug with the series' first significant new 2D art in 20 years!! I love the small details in the environments, like the billboards for KoF '98 & NeoGeo, the Nazca Supply Co buildings, storefronts that match those in the original games, and more. I think this is my favourite surprise of e3 so far this year. Excellent work, team! Can't wait to see more!

Try Fire Emblem! It has a lot of playable characters, each with their own personalities and backstories! Also, their deaths are permanent!

@@lucasfox2494 I literally forced myself to finish two of them, and I didn't like them at all tbh, each turn takes so long and the setting of magic medieval heroes fighting evil magic guy has never been specially exciting to me. I always see people saying it is just chess with waifs, the difference is that I can have fun with chess, if each turn only had me moving 1 unit at a time or a maximum of 4 it would be less boring to me, the weapon durability never was something I liked in turn based RPGs. And I'm just talking about the gameplay, the story and characters in the two i played weren't any exciting or entertaining besides from that one time boss which made me sad for a little bit.
