BFG Division, Skullhacker, and Vega Core were my favorite combat tracks on the Doom (2016) OST. Vega is more on the electronic side, and Skullhacker's hook feels more dry metal, though. BFG kinda melds it all together with the synth tune over heavy.

Can you believe their original soundtrack design plan for the 2016 game said: "No guitars"? (Also said it had to fit the game, and be instantly recognizable to the fans, also also "I like synths.") I linked that vid about how Mick arrived to the sound in another vid, it's insane. But, yeah, he argued that the "instantly recognized by the fans" meant "we absolutely should have guitars." Man we dodged a bullet on that one :D Then he went the extra mile and combined the guitar with all kinds of distortions, warping, and sneaky stuff like sneaking the chainsaw sound effect from the OG Doom and Doom II into the distortion.

You have to keep in mind that in game the music is dynamic, the riffs change according to gameplay, which in game makes it all more awesome and tense ;-)

The new composers that did the dlcs made some bangers too, they deserve some love You'll love blood swamps by Andrew hulshult Uac atlantica by David Levy Dlc 2 had some slower but just as heavy riffs: Reclaimed earth, world spear, immora Sick tunes, whether you make videos on em or not, listen to em

For the next Doom review I highly recommend Andrew Hulshult's "Blood Swamps" from Doom Eternal The Ancient Gods Part 1 Mick Gordon's work for the "Killer Instinct" game is also absolutely awesome! "Inferno" is my favorite.

The only other tracks I would recommend from DOOM are Gladiator and Skullhacker. Both are long, but extremely aggressive and exhausting in their hard use of drumfire.

Fun fact, used in this song, is the original sound for the DOOM CHAINSAW. Not the 2016 doom chainsaw, the ORIGINAL DOOM CHAINSAW.
