The director of the movie Truth or Dare/In bed with Madonna Alex Keshishian was toying with the idea of directing a movie musical of Wuthering Heights with Madonna writing the songs. It never happened in the end but Rain came about because she had been thinking about the story and characters of Heathcliffe and Kathy. ❤❤

Ooooooo....this is such a beautiful video. Probably one of her best looks. Directed by Mark Romanek (Bedtime Story). It was shot in black and white, then digitally colored in post-production. Her then girlfriend, fashion model Jenny Shimizu (is the one in the dark Rayban™ Loop sunglasses and 35MM camera), who was also dating Angelina Jolie at the time, which is rumored why Jolie has never liked Madonna. Nice pick for a Sunday morning.

This song was the last single of ''Erotica'' album, but was one of the first songs she wrote on this album. Fun fact, the original demo was the final product, like for most of the songs of this album, she just made few minors changes, that's it.
