Such a visionary she was and still is. You should watch her live 1999 Grammy performance of this song. It's quite similar to the video. She does that often.

Madonna wrote this in response to having her first child and how it completely changed her perspective on life. When she started writing her own music around 1985/86, her music got a lot deeper. The record execs would not allow her that control until the success of the Like a Virgin album. And really wanted the main roll. But she didn't get it. The movie was made. the roll was given to a Chinese actress I can't remember her name. Michelle yeoh was also in the movie 🍿🎥.❤️

You should check out the opening number of the Confessions Tour - Future Lovers/I Feel Love. I've seen Madonna live on 6 tours now, starting in the 80s up to her most recent.
