Although this song was originally written in 1991 by James Hetfield of Metallica as a love song, Jadyn saw another interpretation.
She believes that the lyrics also talk about accepting yourself for who you are. Others may have differing opinions about how you should feel or what you should believe but as long as you stay true to yourself, "Nothing Else Matters" Like many other kids, Jadyn has experienced bullying from time to time and this is her platform to fight against people who aren't accepting of others.

I was in a conversation with a few friends some years ago when one of them asked "What song do you want them to play at your funeral?", the others answered with various songs and they were all debating why this or that song would work when finally they asked me. I just looked at them and said, without hesitation, "Nothing Else Matters" and they all went silent for a few moments until one said "Yeah" and that was the end of that conversation. It took a 10 year old girl to finally make me not just understand but _feel_ why I chose that song. I am who I am, you are who you are and who cares what anyone else thinks because Nothing Else Matters. All these words I don't just say...

I’m in 6th grade, and I have been singing since I was in 3rd grade, and I wanted to try something new, so my singing teacher said “how about Metallica?” I said “ Metallica, you mean heavy metal?” And she said “yea, what other Metallica is there!?” I was thinking ~ how am I supposed to sing METALLICA?!~ so I asked my teacher what song, she said “ Nothing Else Matters” And she said it’s by a girl. Oh, my god, has Metallica heard this? Yet, another cover that has brought goose bumps and tears to my eyes. All those producers who over productionize music should come here and understand what sheer pure simplicity sung straight from the heart really sounds like and what the true meaning of music really is. Stumbled upon this cover by complete accident and played it 3 times in a row. To be completely fair there are a few moments that raised an eyebrow but I guess it's due to "the voice of your age". Such a voice at 10 is worth a serious shot and already above most mainstream "artists", by FAR. Keep going !
