I made this same comment under someone else's video and you would not believe how hard people flipped out on me lol. I had seen it somewhere else myself and thought it very nicely summed up the theme of the 3 tracks. One guy wrote damn near a dissertation on all three songs - so if this video blows up, prepare yourself :)

I thought it was like that, the lyrics of The Unforgiven II are so confusing and every single line has a giant meaning but in conclusion it's more about an alternate ending of the first Unforgiven. The man doesn't die old and alone, he finds a lost soul like him and hardly tries to trust her and let his past go: "Lay beside me and tell me what they've done". At the ending: "Now I see the sun/I take this key and I bury it in you because you are unforgiven too" it symbolises that the darkness fades so it won't end like the first Unforgiven and he trusts her giving to only her the access to "the locked door" which is his life also admitting that it's both of them the unforgiven in the society. (Also, the kid of the video is supposed to be the same of the first Unforgiven video) The Unforgiven III continues this as the darkness coming back to the man after trying to be part in the society (the golden treasure) and fail, he recognizes that after all the problem was himself and he can't blame anyone else

Of all songs to choose from you go with Of Wolf and Man? Unforgiven 2 is a far better song, especially for new fans.

@@DM-rc4yu nah, can't agree with you there, Unforgiven 2 and 3 are just variations on a theme. Of Wolf and Man is much more original, and hasn't been done to death by other reactors. If they want to stand out, you can't follow the same path.
