It's definitely still strong, but I'd say at best it's about 60% of what it used to be. And the "cleanliness" is the result of the wear on his vocal chords in the late-80's.

Agreed. His snake skinned snakebyte is absolutely gorgeous. I only wish they’d make signature models of it like they did for the white, black and camo versions of it. Personally this one and the camo snakebyte are my favorites. Like seriously, how hard would he be to make a signature Cthulhu esp snakebyte? Or even a Signature 72 vulture? ESP please do it! I know it’s out of my price range but I want it, i really do!

Ive seen the guys play this song everywhere...from Oakland in '91 to Iowa in 91, 92, 93, 97, blah, blah....and it NEVER gets old. I still say, as i said back in 1991, 'SBT' set the new standard of what 'heavy' is. Pace, lyrics, and tone...its perfect.

Dude get the recordings, I was there too both nights and they sound great! You can even hear the crowd doing the newstead “die mother fucker die” in creeping death. So badass.

He started playing to a met post pandemic I think. His tempo is definitely consistent, and there are significantly less unnecessary fills and even when there are, they are at least in time and at a steady tempo
