Pretty hilarious because I tuned in to watching wildcard and it turns out it was Shawn's stream. About 2 minutes in I was like holy shit this nerdrager is stereotype onyxia raid leader. Kinda interesting to see the fallout and feedback.

Back in MoP a DK in our guild Shroud on Zul'jin got realm first DK before shawn and he trolled him by linking it in general during raid. All the other people in the raid turned it into a realm wide troll. Then duality got realm first dancing kings, forget the name of the boss. TM left realm after duality downed shekzeer first too.

This might be random but I've been away since Wrath and I was just wondering is Method a normal guild that became a top guild and got sponsorships and such or was this a purely esports organization that came in and put together a guild for the world first race? I was just wondering if it was organic like old top guilds from EQ and early WoW or if esports groups just come and essentially hire people to put together a team more than a traditional guild how I am thinking of it. Sorry I hope this makes sense.

Method is a guild that made their own Esports org and they themselves created the world first event. When you think about it, Method has done more for the world of warcraft esports scene than blizzard ever have. Which is kinda crazy.

I've seen this kind of drama play out many times, though usually without money being involved. Now that money is involved (even if only a little), it could get bad pretty fast. Ultimately members have to balance their goals against just how much they will tolerate. At the end of the day, though, its just a game, and people should prioritize their own happiness. -Matt

Plenty of raid leaders, especially at that level, are aggressive and come off as 'assholes' particularly to a passerby, the problem is Sean makes it personal and isn't at all neutral is who he picks and chooses to not only play but receive the blame. There are many raid leaders even more aggressive than Sean but they come from a place of passion or because they know it works, and these raid leaders are often beloved by many if not most of their guild (though certainly not all of them). Sean has always tried to emulate those types of raid leaders i.e. Rigg, but he can't because it goes to his head and he genuinely enjoys yelling at and degrading people, not just trying to keep them in line.

@@Outwardpd Oh im aware that RL can be aggressive, i've had some time in "some" higher up guilds. But what I meant is exactly what you said. When I watched him you can see he goes after people directly for some reason, his "its a joke dude relax" arent really jokes and just an excuse for him to shit talk someone. He also didnt take a single persons opinion during the day 1 mythic when I was wathcing. Other players were trying to give their input and he just said no.

TL:DR - Method splits cash provided by sponsors every raid tier between their 27 team roster. Theoretically 100k split between 27 people is about 3.7k every 6 months. Nothing to live off of. Just kind of a token of gratitude

It's just a maturity thing, back in draenar Sean spammed trade offering carries,which is cool and how his channel grew. but playing and being good at content and streaming is different than being in a leadership position over many players. with method it seems like many people in the leadership roles are over the age of 30 which is that type of guild that I would prefer to be in personally.

The same streaming thing and bringing donators/subs into our raids happened to my guild aswell. He kept inviting new people into our hc carry raids but the guild bank gold never really increased because the payment wasn't gold ingame, it was money donated to him on his stream. After a while people got too upset and the guild disbanded. Unfortunately hes still one of the most popular german wow streamers. Btw. It takes 10 minutes of watching seans stream to figure out that he is an extremely narcissistic person

I quit the top guild on my realm midway through heroic ICC because of someone like sean. "Mudkipz" he was called >_> Jokes on him tho, I moved to a better realm and got into a higher ranked guild.

Easy is definitely a meme. I was one of the highest ranked (by logs, M+, on multiple specs and classes) players in several guilds and people who weren't that good (bad at mechanics, rarely did good DPS but got lucky in one run out of like 7, not highly productive during progression) got sent those mails but I didn't. I didn't really care because I know a good number of people who were in Easy and heard the bullshit. Easy trialed basically everyone with a brain and yet still kept some pretty shit players, while being infamous for just non-stop drama and bullshit. They're the definitive example of what happens when you get 20 people together who've done some mythic raiding and aren't totally retarded and just go at it for 10+ hours a day in progression. It really is that Easy to get in the top 10 world. There are a good number of NA guilds that raid like 12 hours a week that would easily be in the top 5 if they put in even the Easy level of effort.

They also have to put more effort of course, he said that the cut they get is performance based, and if you have to put effort into coming up with the system of how they should gear up, what classes to bring to the raid, what are the strategies they are using, dealing with recruitment/people, filling in whatever is needed, etc... You have to put a lot of extra time gathering data and analysing logs than the average raider. This is coming from a GM/RL too.

I am sure the owner of this channel will be happy to see his viewers and audience spike when real people start voicing their opinions. Trust me Josh will not dare to pick up this gauntlet throw at him. He claims his IQ is 143. The fact he lack in so many disciplines and his screwed world views and believes tell me he hasn't . Real IQ test take into account skills such as leadership, social skills and so much more. He would score below average. Self claimed intelligence is telling when not substantiated by real test results. He merely has a niche skill set which he wasn't born with but achieved by his lifestyle and playing non stop the game he has come to love. His world and live is shifted to the WOW world he lives in. You could compare him to humans which are still asleep in the Matrix. You shatter that illusion and they break down. I am seriously worried about his mental sanity and the effect it has on his fans on here. Add Twitch, Reddit and so many of the current social networks. We the adults and parents need to protect our children form this type of degenerative behaviour and risks.
