Didn’t Rengoku rupture his ears while fighting the snake demon (his first mission) I think that Rengoku could actually get past Emnu’s first phase but the eyes Boar mask that Inosuke wears it would be easy to defeat Emnu tbh.

@@hackrderp Keep in mind, his mouth on his hands and eyes were new for him - he got that from more blood if he was an Upper-Moon who knows what he would develop - perhaps telepathy in which he doesn't need to say go to sleep or use eye contact...just saying it in the mind. His demon art is unpredictable

Honestly, Muzan had more in common with the Lower Moons than the Upper Moons. Strong as he was, he still used other demons to do his bidding, from finding the blue spider lily to being a meat shield between him and the Demon Slayer Corp. Even against Yoriichi, Muzan had Tamayo around just in case. The Lower Moons were just a reflection of his own cowardice and dependence.

That has more to do with him being lazy/Arrogant rather than cowardly. We see near the end Muzan is more than powerful enough to wipe out the Demon Slayer Corp if he wanted to. The only issue is he doesn't know where they are.

He also doesn't allow his demons to act together because he afraid they would rebel against him, he sent Enmu to kill Tanjiro while he know Tanjiro isn't actually strong as much as he afraid because Muzan sees what his demons sees, and in the last arc, he tried to take the slayers into the fortress and have the Upper Moons kill them when he could have killed them there without taking the fortress. (Sorry for my English.)

Enmu was just...something different. The fact that I felt like I loved him and wished for him to die at the same time immediatelly made him my Favorite Demon. We never see his "tragic past" or if he even had a barely reasonable explanation for his sadistic manners, the way his voice talked, his movements just screamed psychopath to me. He was pure evil and yet I felt (and feel) like I want to be by his side forever.

Enmu is my favorite demon, obviously as you can tell from my pfp. But to be honest I do wish he would have had a somewhat of a tragic back story. I cried when he died, but at least he did get his own "Death theme song," which made his death sadder. RIP Enmu tho -Great in depth video 👍

@@ashtongreen5494 Actually, I think the reason why Joker has different origins in Batman Comics and Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight is because the message they want to give to readers and viewers is that: This character has gone through something in the past, but that's not what concerns us readers and viewers. What interests us now is what kind of villain he/she is and what he/she does as a villain, how good a villain he/she is. Nolan did not give a tragic origin to Joker, but (with Heath Ledger's successful performance, of course) Joker became a villain that conquered everyone's heart, with this performance Joker became Batman's main enemy from Batman's side enemy and now everyone is watching the Dark Knight for Joker. Enmu (and I think all the villains in Kimetsu no Yaiba) isn't as well-written and memorable as Joker, but as Enmu Mugen Train's main antagonist he deserved - tragically or not - his origin to be featured or mentioned in the manga and movie. (Sorry for my English.)

@@wander1139 Death 13 is almost omnipotent within the dreamworld and can freely enter people’s dreams at their leisure, whereas Enmu has to force other people to enter for him because going in by himself is too dangerous. And you can easily escape Enmu’s dreams by killing yourself whereas if you are caught in a Death 13 dream, there is no escape, you have to hope that something in the outside world forces you awake. And even if you manage to wake up, you will forget everything that happened in the dream world and you won’t be prepared to deal with Death 13 again

He isn't omnipotent in the dream he was able to decide the shape of the dream but he could be hurt directly thats why he ended the dream and he couldn't protect his user out of the dream and had no way of forcing others into a dream and the suicide option is not an option any reasonable purson would use and we saw the drawback of it when one of them almost killed them selves to make sure they weren't dreaming

@@wander1139 Doesn’t matter if Death 13 can’t protect its user in the real world because he’s pretty much unbeatable in the dream world. Death 13 is a Stand, so he can only be harmed by other Stands, and if you didn’t fall asleep with your Stand already activated, then you won’t be able to bring your Stand with you, which makes you pretty defenseless against him. Kakyoin only managed to bring his due to sheer luck It doesn’t matter if he can’t force people into a dream. All he has to do is wait for them to fall asleep and he can enter anytime he wants. All humans need to sleep eventually and as long as no one suspects the baby of being a threat, he can attack anyone without them seeing it coming. Again, Enmu needed to set up a lot of preparations before he could think about entering anyone’s dreams because entering by himself is too dangerous. Death 13 simply has to wait for you to fall asleep and he’s got you

In fact, Enmu's character design may refer not only to the Mugen Train Arc, but also to his human past. At first, it seemed strange to me that Enmu's shoes. On closer inspection, his shoes look very similar to medical hospital shoes for men. On Wikipedia, Enmu's origin is mentioned when he was human, despite not being a doctor, he misused things like hypnotic treatments. Perhaps Enmu had a medical education in his human past and was unable to become a doctor for some reason. (Sorry for my English)

@@RipsharkTV Yes, a side material. As far as i know, among the information shared in Taisho Secret, which was revealed on the release date of the movie, Enmu's human past was also included. As far as i know this movie special Taisho Secret are only released in Japan because all the Taisho Secret pagesi've seen in the internet are written in kanji. At first i thought it was fake because someone who's wrote this information in Wikipedia didn't add bibliography, but when i came across fan-made mini mangas made by Japanese on internet that could valify the information in Taisho Secret, i thought this information might be canon. Other than this video, about connection his shoes and his human past it's just my theory because some of the content in the character design of many demons in Kimetsu no Yaiba universe was also linked their human past. About a month ago, it was announcedthat Mugen Train Arc will be adapted into a 7 episode anime. I've heard that 70 new scenes will be added to anime adaption that weren't in the movie. Maybe his human past will added to the anime as well, who knows. (Sorry for my English.)

we did get a little backstory trivia in the second official fanbook, but it's more fucked up than sad haha. He was eaten alive by Muzan, when his heart stopped Muzan decided to turn him into a demon. I'm guessing Enmu's personality suprised Muzan a little bit. I don't think you come across people that like being eaten alive because of extreme masochism (and sadism) that often...

You can tell Enmu clearly took inspiration from Freddy Krueger. Said individual is unique among Slashers since he kills and tortures people for no other reason than because he gets sick delight out of it, much like how Enmu torments people with his dream abilities simply because he enjoys it.

Dude, amazing video!! I've always wanted someone to make an in depth video on Enmu, he is so underrated. Please make a Douma (upper rank 2) video next. I believe even though he was shown to be a demon with a twisted mentality like Enmu, he still played a VERY big role in the demon slayer universe. Keep up the good work❤️

This maybe far reaching, but Enmu reminded me of Kaa from the jungle book. (I mean the Disney version since I’m not sure what he’s like in the original book). With the song song voice, the emphasis on killing people in their sleep, the creepy sadistic joy in their works, i noticed some similarities.
