I'm still blown away how good this game looks after 22 years

i love how they nearly been everywhere in the game and then just casually grabs the missles later into the run... haha

Last time I paid attention to Metroid Prime speedruns, 100% was in the 1:20 range...wow. Your scan-jump timing is awesome. On my best day, it still takes me at least 10 tries to nail that early space jump boot grab. Going to rewatch this and fire up the Gamecube. Awesome playthrough!

5:19 - Just landed on Tallon IV and you got Space Jump in less than 10 seconds. Holy shit! As a non-speedrunner (who does enjoy watching speedruns) I'm just baffled!

This is freaking INSANE! I had to double check that this wasn’t a TAS run. I thought I was hot stuff because I can beat the game in one day, and here you are DEMOLISHING it in almost an hour! Mad props dude, I can’t imagine how many hours of practice your poured into this run. Thanks for sharing your hard work! I hope you keep pushing it!

This video inspired me to practice some speedrunning tactics in this game, and there's nothing better than getting the Plasma Beam early and vaporizing all the annoying enemies you constantly have to encounter.

man i love this game. when it came out i remember playing it at walmart when they used to have systems there that you could play on. but didn't get to actually play it until like 2005 sometime. just watching through this is giving crazy nostalgia

You can speedrun Metroid Prime 100% faster than I can speedrun Super Metroid 100%. This is INSANE. I know the Gamecube version has a lot of things that the Trilogy version patched up (I never had a Gamecube so my Metroid Prime experience has all been on Trilogy). But GOOD LORD. The way you play, the original game might as well be Super Mario 64!! I can't believe you SKIPPED the first half of the final boss. I mean, I can't believe MOST of this video, but that's especially hot.
