Just had a pair fitted on my 1050r today, the standard fitted Pirelli supercorsa were brilliant in the dry but never inspired confidence in the wet. Keep up the good reviews mate.

Had these on my Triumph since last summer and used them all winter, I've found them really good seem to be wearing ok too!

Love the M7RR. Apparently Tony Rutter did a 125mph lap of the IOM TT course recently them without warmers set at 35/32 road pressures.. Shame I scrape 3k from the rear...

Good review mate! Had Metzeler Wintec on this winter and I did commute in the snow =D Metzeler do now a thing or two about making a good set of tires thats for sure!

Nice review mate, good intro :) I've got the metzeler sportec M7 RR's just now, get about 4k before the rear centre is dead, really nice tyre though. Thinking about Continental Road Attack 3's or the Metzeler Roadtec next to get a bit more milage.

Yep I've been using roadtec 01 for nearly 4 years now. And totally agree. You need to keep pressure up. On a tiger 1200 I use 42 rearand 36 front Yep the front is squaring of on mine but rear ok. Great tyres. Great review. I find you have to put 4 to 6 psi more than recommended.

Loving the intro 👌🏻 My duke 390 came on M7R’s and I hated them, bike would be all over the shop when pushing on, switched to Bridgestone battlax s20’s and it was night and day Daytona lives on Rosso 3’s, love them once up to temp but my wallet disagrees ✌🏻

Done 10k on these now only just feeling past there best .well recommended.will be getting another set

Put these tyres on my sx1000 work well with the kawak wet or dry better than the bridge stones it had on

Great video man. I've recently had the PR4's on two bikes, got this Street Triple RX 675 with it's original Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa's still fitted and absolutely loved them on warm sunny days for grip. Worn out the rear and replaced with the non-Corsa Pirelli Rosso II and so far enjoying.. but questioning all-round grip. I'm not a super fast rider and generally want to ride in all conditions. Found myself considering these Roadtec 01's as tested by my family and friends on other bikes, think they felt best on the FZ8 over the heavier bikes. I'm torn between either the 01's or PR5's, but feel the PR5's are just a bit TOO wet-weather focused for what I want to do - dare I say it I'm now a more fair-weather rider purely down to time and how I plan my weekends! What are you running on your Speed Triple now since this Roadtec review?

the way tyre tech. is moving on, we should all be scraping our bar end weights, never mind the pegs. Ps. it don't matter how good your tires are if your suspension is shite.

If they still made PR3's in a 190/55 I'd buy them, best tyre IMO, but the fuckers don't. 4's were just shit and a big letdown. Matey at work just slapped on a set of Road5's on his S1000R and so far he is loving them, he was into the PR3 prior too and says definitely on par. Be interested to see if they last as well. I'm currently on S21's on the Superduke and while they are good in the shite weather, they just don't last, under 3k on the last rear and the front is almost toast at 5k. Torn between the Road5 or the Roadtec for its next boots, leaning towards the Road5 TBH.

Been running on them for the past year, done 20k miles, winter/spring/summer/autumn, snow/rain/ice/sun...etc ... I really can't complain, they're great... BUT! I've been considering getting the Pilot 5, what do you think ?

Just got myself a set of Rosso Corsa 2s as i'll be using my bike less due to work and am not gonna be doing motorway miles, so wanted something sporty again. Loved the Rosso Corsas that came stock, so just treated myself to a set of Corsa 2s :P Fuellling mod?

So you recommend these tyre for a good all rounder? As I ride all year non motorway just A roads etc. I've battlaxe evos at the min and I just don't feel confident in the wet. I've not had a slide or a near slide but just don't feel confident on them so looking for tyres.

Great review! I've got them for about a year now on my 675STR and they've been mostly just like you've said. Love them, specially during winter and first 9 months... But now I can feel the difference compared with the stock Pirelli's (during summer) on dry mountain roads, in the sense they don't stick quite as much. But like you said, that's to be expected. Might sound silly but... Do you use the tyre pressures recommended by Triumphs' owners manual or do the tyres themselves have a different recommendation? Cheers!

Since when have Metzelers been budget tyres??? Obviously new to biking, Metzelers have been top bike tyres for years !!!!

I wish metzeler were budget they are bloody well expensive as much as the road 5's 😄
