I've got three tractors in the shop right now. Waiting on parts I put the parts on as they trickle in.

That relief valve looks the same as on my TO 20. The spring I pulled out looks as long as the one out of yours. The new spring in the rebuild kit is about a 1/2" or so longer and sticks out of the housing so you have to compress in to get the cup and cotter pin in. Hot and running my tractor only had about 10 pounds presser. I did have quite a bit of wear on the front cam bearing and the front leather seal was worn through so there is where most of the problem was but I also think the spring was weak. Tractor ASAP has an after market bearing kit for this problem and it requires line boring the block to fit the bearings.If the TEA block is the same, then you could use this kit to fix them as well. The kit comes with 4 bearings because it will do other engines with 4 bearings, TO 20 only has 3. Just a tidbit of information that I leaned along the way.

Hello Lance, I've been watching the entire series getting ready for a winter rebuild of a 135 that I was given. I greatly appreciate the time and effort you put in these videos! I was interested in which manual you were using on our laptop in this video.

I rarely ever rebuild an engine and not put in a new oil pump, same goes for oil coolers. An old leaky cooler can sure ruin some new bearings.

Hi Lance, I have the front axle off of my 67 135 and thought it would be a great time to replace the oil pump; seems the pressure relief is stuck since pressure gauge is pegged off the clock. So, I'm wondering, with the front axle yoke removed, how do I jack the engine to remove the oil pan. Is it sufficient to jack it at the clutch inspection plate area or should the front of the engine be supported as well. I guess I could support the engine by blocking up to the crank shaft or suspend it from above with an engine hoist. What would you recommend?

Lance, can you change the oil pump by simply dropping the sump .....?

Low oil pressure can be the result of the spring, the measured difference with the gauge is not so decisive. Has the spring, in my mf50 it should be 2,030 inch,become too short after all these years, the valve is nearly Open all the time, so that the oil passes by. Or am I wrong with the spring? Then correct me. But nevertheless: I enjoy your Videos as a German from Germany and they help me a lot in fixing my mf50s.
