GMC Sierra pickup. Mice in cab! Easy fix.
Discovered evidence of mice in my truck cab and used this easy fix to keep them out. Hope helps someone else having to set mouse traps in their truck at night!

You had mice I have squirrels gonna try this out today Edit: so I tried it out after the video and sure enough they were getting in through that opening and coming out through the blower motor did the same thing you did and it's been a week since iv done this and no more squirrels

Hey I appreciate it. These little bastards have been eating up my blue shop towels for several years now. I don’t leave anything in truck and still find mouse turds all over. You just saved me a bunch of time. Take care 👍

I could hear something moving in my truck for the past 2 weeks when I drove I could hear it scurry around but then it would go quiet, Sounded like it was right behind my Nav screen or in the vents, couldn’t see droppings or anything but it’s still there. Thanks for this video I’m going to check tomorrow morning. I got a 2009 Sierra hope I can get this bigger out and seal this up

R B It’s easy. Set a mouse trap on the floor. You will probably find out that you have more than one. I caught 4 or 5 in my truck last fall. Took about that many days. Now whenever my truck is going to sit for a few days I set a trap.

The idea was sound, but nice can squeeze into a hole the size of a dime. Put another screen 45 degrees off.

Thx for making this video, I'm getting a foul smelling oder coming in the cab of our 03 2500 g.m.i noticed mice are eating the fire wall insulation and marking a nest on the intake area, pretty Irritating watching a pristine low km truck being eaten by fking Rodents !!!!!

Definitely irritating. My first discovery was a nestful of dead ones in my GLOVE box. I would seal up those sides and then set some traps in your engine compartment to get the stragglers. good luck!

2003 Chevy Silverado - nests in my blower motor. Same problem in my 2012 Chevy equinox. Why can’t GM figure out how to put a metal screen over the openings like you did? My next car won’t be a GM! Between the rust out, instrument cluster problems, and transmission problems I can’t afford to drive GM.

Did you have any mouse nests in side the drain tube? I just looked at mine, and is plugged way in there...how does one get that stuff out?

I did not, at least not to my knowledge. I’ve rigged flexible tube (like piece of garden hose) before on the end of a shop vac and gotten in some pretty tight spots before. Good luck!

iv got a 95 dodge. they are getting in right behind glove box. giant opening. ridiculous. hard to block off as its a whole corner

I hope this works on our 03 Yukon. I’ve trapped four of these little shits so far. It’s so much fun explaining why you’ve got a mousetrap set in the back seat. 🤦🏼😵‍💫

Certainly is possible, though I don’t think it would be as likely for that cover to be gone or damaged. In my case, I had recently ran a backup camera wire through that vent and knew it was in good shape.
