Sad thing is that many people make fun of Michael Botlon because he was "TOO GOOD", and still is. He was a powerhouse, song writer and vocalist extraodinaire, I think it's because he got so popular, so fast, and every station played him over and over again... He has a voice as smooth as gold.

Bolton does a damn good, and I do mean damn good cover of this 60’s classic song, winning the Grammy in 1990, for his cover for ‘Best Pop Male Vocal Performance’, but Percy Sledge is the original.

believe it or not, Michael used to be a ROCK singer, check out his early 80s songs like 'Everybody's Crazy' and 'Fool's Game'. That dude is 67 years old now, and can still belt out a song better than most people on the planet!

My fiance is a native Nigerian and absolutely loves Michael Bolton's version of "When a Man Loves a Woman" he tries to sing along but "can't carry a tune in a bucket" but he just loves Michael Bolton. Right on, who doesn't right. And the hair everybody's commenting about, well, it was an 80s/ early 90s thing to have that mullet.😒😯😋 I guess it was called. But his was extra long and extra big. But boy oh boy did he ever have the passion in his voice to nail this song! Sincerely Tami💞

Nahh... Nostalgia is getting in the way of your hearing... Bolton's version is 100 times better... I've heard the original and it wasn't this good... This one you can really feel the soul, the grit, the emotion and the power of MB's voice..

I love Michael’s passion. Home Free does a fabulous a cappella version. You might want to check out “I knew I Loved You” by Savage Garden & “We Are Love” by Il Volo, an Italian operatic trio. There are 2 versions, English & Italian.

You may not be aware of this. Michael Bolton made a documentary about my hometown of Detroit, executive producer of The Dating Game, was a cartoon character for a movie, worked with The Lonely Island Group as Captain Jack Sparrow and was on a Christmas video. The Office plus Two and 1/2 Men.
