Phil Collins is not only a singer but he is a drummer. He changed the sound of 80’s music in 1981 with his style of druming and unique sound called “Gated Reverb” in this song “In the Air Tonight” It literally changed music in the 80’s.

I'm in my 6th decade of life. You have no idea what this video meant to me today. My beloved brother passed a week ago tomorrow. This song brought back so many memories. Years ago, we were driving around the streets of Athens, Ohio, home of Ohio university where Steve was a student. This song came on the radio, and he cranked it up. We opened the windows--it was the dead of winter, too. When that drum solo kicked in, i pounded it on the dashboard and he thumped it on the steering wheel. I'll never forget how fun those few minutes were. I'm so glad you liked this song. Thanks for helping an old rocker chick remember this great memory.

This is the greatest Diss track of all time. Its written about his ex wife when she had an affair with a painter and decorator. When he performed this on Top of the Pops (a UK music chart show) he played it with a tin of paint on the speaker next to him. Epic.

This song was written as an "ode" to the guy who cheated with his first wife. He had given it thought to present it to his wife during the divorce. You can see he still can channel the hurt to this specific day. ... and it gives new meaning, knowing this, to the "uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh" rift... he saw it. In a later interview he said it wasn't anything specific, just going through the divorce. But band members disagreed all the time. I think he just has a lot of class and was done dissing people during the interview.

I actually read that this song was about a girl that drowned while Phil was at a lake on the other side watching it happen while a guy stood watching this girl drown in front of him and laughing about it. This is amazing, because it also means that a lot of young people like you heard this song for the first time and met Phil because of you guys! You have to see the live version of the Final Farewell Tour in France (2004) it will blow your mind! and then go and see the Live in Perkins Palace (1982). I love Phil, I am 28 years old and I am proud to have known his music (and all rock) on my own (my family was never interested in music so if I depended on them to know it, I was dead what a time haha)

Couldn't help but be blown away by the beat drop but at 6:03 you see the young man on the left seriously appreciating a brilliant drummer! As Phil continues, the twin on the left side of the screen is feeling it 1000%! There is no language for that kind of emotion! I just love watching both of their reactions! I saw their new video about the song, and they mention they do not re-record takes, which, of course would take all the authenticity out of it! Very smart, young men who appreciate music! Rock on 🤘

@Kelly Johnson obviously...Lol. one thing on my bucket list is to go see Red Hot Chili Peppers in concert with both my boys...Just patiently waiting until they make it to my area...I missed them both in the 80s and 90s and I'm glad, now we all get to experience it together. And yes even at fifty I'm gonna be singing every word of every song as loud as possible.

Well now it’s just crazy & hella disappointing finding out about all of the cheating. It’s very hard believing that someone born in 1921- before voted. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Along with other corrupt ballot burners via seen by cctv cameras. Also postman throwing open ballots out.. etc etc. Yet they are still saying “there’s been no cheating or anything illegal going on!” Smh 🙄 Take care~ God Bless✌🏼

Just another old white lady, here. I found your channel through this Phil Collins reaction video appearing on my Facebook newsfeed. Not sure how it got there, but I am so happy that it did, and have spent a good portion of the last two days binge-watching your videos. I never knew that reaction videos were even a thing! I love your respect for the older artists and passion for their music. Our music. Now your music. You make us oldies feel like we are the ones hearing our favorites for the first time, through young ears. I don't know what your music education background is, if you have taken any formal instruction, or taught yourselves to play and more importantly to really listen, but I hope that you do pursue study in music theory and try playing a few of the instruments you are hearing in the videos. You can have a career in production, and maybe set some new trends, bringing back live instruments in recording sessions. What's old is new again. Your love for all music is heartwarming, and your passion for it will last your lifetimes. Congratulations, and wishing you every success! I would love to see you react to some Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and James Taylor. More Van Morrison, too. You need to hear Tupelo Honey and Someone Like You. You mentioned wanting to hear some more female artists. I would start with Carole King and Carly Simon. More from Linda Ronstadt, and Cyndi Lauper. (especially True Colors) Also, Pat Benatar, Bonnie Raitt, and Joan Jett. Thank you for being you. Oh, and please listen to Pink Floyd's The Wall, all the way through, and listen to the story. See the video too!
