Random but fun fact: No woman was ever burned at the stake in the Salem witch trials. Women were killed, often by hanging, drowning, or crushing. But the act of being burned alive was almost purely a European phenomenon and never happened in Salem, MA.

The vast majority were convicted of heresy, rather than witchcraft, as the catholic church's official position was that witches didn't exist. Most were acquitted. Convictions were easier in the states, due to the dominant christian sect being evangelical protestantism.

Sorry Trevor but Salem was still under English law so no witches were burnt. But they do say small hands relates to small other bits of the male anatomy so I'm sure he'd like to put the blame on someone else should it class as being in the petite size range.

Yeah, but how much evidence do you think his lawyer actually kept around to find? Think about it, if you committed a crime and wanted to cover it up, would you keep a bunch of incriminating files around in your office? You'd most likely destroy everything you could to make sure it was never found.

exactly, if searching for stuff "actually kept around to find" was not fruitful they wouldn't bother. The reality is most persons are not the bright and/or consistent. Pretty much most of the Trump Administration so it was a good gamble stuff was kept around to find.
