I know a lot of folks are mentioning the energy difference, but it's a wonder MJ managed to even do the whole tour at the level that he did! 1 year 4 months + and 123, two hour long shows...oftentimes three in-a-row. It was a superhuman effort which took its toll on future tours. He consumed himself to give us a spectacle that'll be remembered for all time.

It’s something so special knowing this was Mikes very first solo concert ever in his life. I know he felt so accomplished.

I always wanted to see this concert all dressed in black. He was 28 and probably in the climax of his personal an professional life. The Bad World Tour was the best of his live performances carrere.

1:01:58 Fun fact: The scratching sound you can hear in this part is from the sequins on the palm of his glove against the microphone. Michael was a perfectionist as we all know and when he was hearing the recording of the concert after it ended, he kept replaying that part and asking “Where is it coming from?” After finding out what it was, he got another glove with no sequins on the palm for concerts so it wouldn’t happen again. The one with sequins all around, would be used for photo shoots. 😊

This was his best concert to me !! He was just beginning to take more risk with his fashion and was starting to become legendary at this point . His speed and accuracy (smooth criminal) was amazing here . There was no fatigue from a long world tour at this point , His voice was strong as ever , he wasnt as light as became as you can tell his surgeries were very minimal during this time and his mind wasnt yet poisoned by prescription drugs . He was crisp , trying new moves for the first time , new speeds to his songs , and you can feel his excitement here . This was right after the thriller era where MJ was riding a incredible wave !! The bad tour for me got worser as it went on . It became routine for MJ as it went on . He changed his look to fuller hair and rocker style outfits , his skin got brighter and he started to lip sing . I understand why cause it was a 2 year tour so i get it !! But in the first one in japan he was full of hunger , ambition , curiosity (first solo tour) , and moved so well . This was originally supposed to be his LAST tour until he was duped to do the rest of em !! He wanted to do movies , plays , and amusement parks after the tour , He never wanted to tour again after Bad , just a random performance or concert here and there !!

I love Michael Jackson. Look at his energy here. It says something different to me than what I see everyone else saying. It’s showing me how many money hungry devils he hadd surrounding him. Just because someone can perform at this level for as long as he did doesn’t mean they should. Anyone who truly cared about him would’ve told him it’s not good to do three shows this high energy and high level in a row. And it’s gonna cost him and take its toll on him. But no. He hadd to make the money. Feed the damn beast and he paid the price. I could be wrong thinking it was everyone else and it was in fact him himself. I wasn’t there. By the way.
