--------
In the latest clip, Michael Jai White and DJ Vlad continued to debate whether Bill Cosby's accusers were telling the truth or seeking a money grab. Vlad referenced one of Michael Jackson's accusers being a proven scammer before Michael Jai White explained why it's difficult to prove a sexual assault took place. The actor also referenced Cosby's "spanish fly" joke and acknowledged that there are outliers to every situation before encouraging Vlad truly investigate the conspiracy theory that Cosby was set up by over 60 women.

I've been on MJW side in most of these debates I've seen. But here, I have to part ways with his position. I hope HE never gets a false accusation. And if he does, it WILL snowball... that's the way it works.
@bbb462cid
@bbb462cid Жыл бұрын
See, here's the thing: you just declared any accusation against MJ or Cosby as a false accusation. The incidents in which they were falsely accused goes as far as those accusations. No further. Being innocent today means nothing about tomorrow,
@MichaelBuieFilms
@MichaelBuieFilms Жыл бұрын
@Mr. Blutarsky I didn't declare any such thing. I never said anything about hypothetical accusations tomorrow about them... or about you, for that matter. I'm saying a celebrity is so widely known that any one person can launch a false accusation, and then here comes the train. Both Michael Jackson and Bill Cosby were world-famous celebrities with decades of interactions with people. MJ was vulnerable because he loved kids so much and missed so much of his own childhood that he identified with them too much and spent too much time with them. From the limited analysis of testimonies and situations I could view, there are cases where parents appeared to engineer a situation in which they could pursue MJ's wealth. There were other kids that grew up with MJ that declared he NEVER did any of those inappropriate things. It's hard to believe he would NEVER molest kids he was with so long, but was a molester. I think he was a big kid and loved being with kids. But, in the end, we weren't there. I don't believe in judging people based on no knowledge of facts. Bill Cosby was vulnerable because he had affairs with women. That much he seems guilty of. But they took a deposition and asked him, "Have you ever given Quaaludes (or whatever) to any woman with the hope of having sex with them?" Then, some media and you took that to mean he gave them date-rape drugs and raped them. And that is not what he said in the deposition. There are provable cases of many of these women who had a history of false accusations, or not having contact with Cosby when they said they did, or just being in proximity, like a playboy mansion, or going to his house repeatedly, even AFTER they said they were molested. I think a woman should not be disregarded when she says she is raped. All have a right to be heard. But, then, if it doesn't pass the smell-test, it's not impossible that a woman making such claims is not lying. Some people act like women never lie. Men AND women lie. Some will lie about these things, especially when they see a big payday. My point is, if they are not found guilty, we have no right to castigate them in public.

Well the interviewer had a strong disagreement from whom he was interviewing. In that instance it is okay to interject your own opinions to either correct them or put your own input in the conversation to get more out of the question being asked or bringing forth your own rebuttal. More common than you think it's just most interviewers bring forth topics where they know the one being interviewed will be more so on their side or they pry a certain reaction out of them knowing the response.

Same. But people argue over facts and evidence all the time. When Trump claimed the election was stolen and even after every judge threw it out, due to lack of evidence, people STILL insist the election was stolen. So there's an example. When the vast majority of scientists said the vaccine for Covid is safe (rare exceptions aside) many Americans still think the vaccine is more harmful than the virus itself and call the body count inflated as if the hospitals are all waging a massive conspiracy. We have flat earthers arguing the earth is flat and you ask them "on what evidence?" and they give this long spiel of facts they got from this or that conspiracy website. So in these modern times there's no longer a collective agreement about facts and evidence.

Well Vlad said one of the witnesses in the MJ got up in the stand and said nothing happened to him, now that witness says he was molested so the conclusion is he's a liar by MJ fans, another side might be that this guy has since said that MJ started a sexual relationship with him when he was still a child and that he believed he and MJ were in love, so when he was asked to testify he went into the stand and lied because he truly believed he was in love and protecting his soul mate, now as an adult he says he was manipulated by MJ. Just because the person is famous doesn't mean they can't commit crimes, look at Jimmy Saville, never prosecuted but not one person denies what he did because he didn't do amazing songs.

Why wouldn’t you want the money TOO? You’re Supposed to watch the person who destroyed your life get away with it and live it up?? You’d want to lock him up AND take the money. I’m not saying who did and didn’t do what, I’m saying that filing a lawsuit doesn’t automatically make you less credible. Plus: the standard of proof is higher in a criminal trial than a lawsuit (beyond a reasonable doubt vs preponderance of the evidence). So if a prosecutor can’t get a conviction or doesn’t care…why would that dissuade your from going after what you can. In MANY cases the civil suit is the only semblance of justice available. Look at wrongful death suits…can’t get the person back, money is all that’s left.

As someone else said, he claims he knows victims of Bill Cosby so he probably just has a bias. I've watched every interview with him and I think he seems like a humble guy overall and I'd love to spar with him.

He is not going by logic or the “evidence” in the cases against MJ. He’s is bigoted and closed minded. It’s his way and what he feels. Very disappointed. He thinks because we don’t want to believe it “because he sang Thriller!” NO because all of his accusers (only 6 out of thousands of kids he’s been around) are proven liars.

Man, respect for vlad for keeping it real about MJ. It's amazing how dumb of an argument MJW tried to put to say MJ's guilty. MJ was 100% innocent and I'm not saying this because I like his music, put music to the side and just look at the case with an open mind. There's literally no evidence that Michael was guilty yet there's massive massive concrete evidence that MJ was innocent. For y'all I recommend watching Razorfist's rebuttals and Square one documentary as a start. MJ was completely innocent. Rip MJ 👑

I think Michael was mostly in a child like state, and all his ppl tried to accommodate that. then some parents got greedy, accused him of abuse, and it looked really bad. Michael was strange, but you have to consider his life, how he was abused, and how he was controlled. it's very similar to how Britney Spears has been treated.

you can't compare MJ's life to Britney's. MJ had full control of the money and elements of his life. From what we're learning about Britney she didn't. MJ was a shrewd in business negotiations so let's not continue with this story of him being a victim. He could still be a phenomenal artist without the lost childhood title.

Michael was a savant. Extremely gifted in music/dance and that's all he knew. There was definitely a degree of autism about him. If he stuck with his family more, he wouldn't have been accused of those allegations. He was surrounded by too many white people, who were yes men. Evidence proves he didn't do it. He beat the case that lasted 5 months. So it's not even a debate anymore. But anyone associated with him, will accuse him of abuse when they need money. Including the likes of Mcauley Culkin.

Well the first time MJ paid out, they dropped the criminal charges, settled out of court for a big bag of money and didn't have any interest in seeing him locked up after they got their money, lol. MJ did it under the advisement of his management at the time who thought it was better to try to make it go away before his big tour rather than go through the trouble/drama/etc of defending his actual innocence in court (which MJ later referred to as the biggest mistake of his life,) so others thought they could do the same and get a payday. That's why Vlad brings up this point. He interview MJ's lawyer in the past and had this explained to him.

I think you missed the point. IF the criminal case is won, the civil is automatic. So, it would behoove a “victim” to have a criminal conviction first. The problem is, a lot of “victims” are charlatans, and they know they have no evidence to win a conviction; if they get cross examined, their stories would fall apart. It’s much easier to sell a lie like rape to court of opinion and get awarded money.
@treedillinger5801
@treedillinger5801 2 жыл бұрын
@@Kdotkon no, you definitely missed the point. It’s harder to get a conviction. The criminal process is entirely out of your hands, it’s up to the prosecutor who doesn’t care as much as you (the victim) or your attorney…the reason it’s “automatic” after a conviction is because it’s much harder to get a conviction. The standard is beyond a reasonable doubt vs preponderance of the evidence in a civil suit. So if the prosecutor can’t or won’t get a conviction or if there’s a plea bargain to a lesser charge why would that dissuade you from filing suit? Of course if they get the conviction first and it makes the suit easier- you use that. That’s obvious. But that doesn’t always happen, not even usually. Sometimes money is all you can get even if it’s a poor substitute for justice. My point was pretty simple: as the victim who’s had their life destroyed you’d want both…the conviction AND the money. Filing a lawsuit doesn’t magically make you any more or less credible, but the fact is most legitimate victims WOULD file suit. Btw: a false accuser would also want a conviction to make their suit easier…in fact even more so, since they’re relying on false testimony and no other real evidence.
@Kdotkon
@Kdotkon 2 жыл бұрын
@@treedillinger5801 LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s not “harder” to get a conviction. Keep lying to yourself. History has shown that women coming forward tend to get convictions if the case is moved forward ESPECIALLY if specific races are involved. It’s harder to get victims to come forward. That’s the difference. So, nah, I didn’t miss a single point, your point was just inaccurate. In rape cases, the system tends to favor women. You can keep playing yourself if you want to, but there are plenty of cases where women lied about a rape and the man was still convicted with no evidence, just her word against the guy’s. 🤷🏿‍♂️ but go off
@treedillinger5801
@treedillinger5801 2 жыл бұрын
@@Kdotkon you have no idea what you’re talking about. You’re taking little tidbits and inventing your own reality and arguing with yourself . You brought up “automatically” winning the lawsuit. I stated a simple fact: the reason for that is because a conviction needs to HIGHER standard of proof: beyond a reasonable doubt. All your nonsense about it being easy to get a conviction is absolutely irrelevant, even if you were right. We’re talking about the higher standard of proof. Again: OBVIOUSLY if you can get a conviction first and make the suit easier you use that. That’s more true for a false accuser who has no evidence than a legitimate victim! My point is really quite simple, and it’s a matter of fact, not opinion. There is nothing to debate. Most legitimate victims file suit and the act of filing the lawsuit doesn’t make you inherently more or less credible. Period.
