The Bulls showed bad sportsmanship in winning also. Wrongs were done on both sides but only Isaiah Thomas and the Pistons are being held accountable. Oh yeah the Pistons owned the Bulls, that’s an overlooked fact. Isaiah and the Pistons dominated the Bulls he’s the only player from that era the have a winning playoff and regular season record against Michael and that’s where Jordan’s resentment comes from

Some people are asinine. People keep saying it was Laimbeer and not Isiah that led them off the court. It doesn't matter who was in the front, because they had it decided (at the very least) after game 3. That was unquestionably Zeke's team, and *everything* from the player's side went through him, whether he thought it up or not. Hell, Mark Aguirre was in front of Laimbeer, but that don't mean Mark masterminded it. The final call was on Zeke. It was his team. Even if Bill came up with the idea, Zeke could have said "Nah Bill, that ain't right". But he agreed with it, and that's why they did it, because their leader said it was OK. Only Joe Dumars, John Salley and coach Daly (class guys) shook hands with the Bulls.

It was also Chuck Daly's team. Do we know if he, as the Piston's coach, congratulated Mike after? Did he ever apologize for inventing "The Jordan Rules" which called for him to get assaulted every time he drove the lane? Daly was head coach of The Dream Team and Mike never said a word about him interestingly.
@ernestb4473
@ernestb4473 Жыл бұрын
@@Duneek Of course it was Daly's team. But I'm talking about actions *on* the floor. Gotta read between the lines. Mike said he wouldn't play if Isiah was on the team. He didn't say that he wouldn't play if Daly coached. That in itself should tell you that he didn't have a problem with Daly's hard defense against him. He had a problem with Isiah, Laimbeer and company taking it to borderline assault levels. A coach can't always control players actions, especially grown men who make more money than that coach. Jordan had no problem not playing on the Dream Team (probably because he already had a gold medal). He could have easily said "I'll play, but no Isiah *and* no Daly". But he didn't say "no Daly" because he most likely had no problem with Daly. Any other good coach could have coached that team to gold. Growing up in Chicago during the 80's & 90's, I've literally seen every game Jordan (and Scottie) played in a Bulls uniform, about 30 games live, and the rest on live TV or recorded to watch the next day, so I've seen a ton of MJ interviews. A lot that the rest of the world outside of Chicago hasn't seen, because most of them were on local TV (before internet and cable were like they are today). I remember a piece of one particular interview with Jordan saying to the interviewer, "I wish Chuck could have reeled those guys in a little more". I interpret that as Jordan saying that Daly wasn't the root of his issue. And yes, Daly *did* congratulate and shake hands with the Bulls, along with Joe Dumars and John Salley. Not sure about the rest of the coaching staff.
@Duneek

The Bulls didn't cconquer" the nba. The nba *made* MJ & the bulls of that day. No other team was as talented and balanced as the bulls, except maybe Seattle and the '95 Magic. Magic Johnson was without Worthy & Scott. Drexler didn't have anyone to help him. Olajuwon, the leauge made sure not to see Jordan, Barkley had an old Dr. J & Moses Malone, then a broke down KJ. Then they give Jordan Rodman Ron Harper. When NY had them at a game 7, Jordan get Xavier McDaniel traded. Jordan, like Kobe & Lebron; was set up to be the face of the nba.

Those folks mentioning Celtics-Pistons, the Pistons could have been the better men than the Celtics. Those mentioning MJ disparaging the Pistons before the sweep game has nothing to do with the rest of that Bulls team. 2 ECF, the Bulls gave the Pistons their due, video proves this. Those folks saying MJ kept Isiah off the Dream Team, better ask Magic, Larry and a scrub(Isiah's words) Scottie kept him off. Isiah would have killed team chemistry and morale. What Michael was with his teammates has nothing to do with this. Leadership is a lonely job when you have to fight for the stability of the team. When you are the only one on the team that believes, when you don't want to go through what you went through in the last 7 years. You become iron. Mike did what he had to do with his team to get them on the level of play that he played at because if you aren't playing at his level then you aren't going to win! Michael said it all, they paid the respect to the Piston and the Pistons should have returned the favor! Hypocrisy has nothing to do with this, who hands didn't Mike shake? Being a Father or Leader will put you in a position to yell, and pressure, that's your role and you do it to the best of your ability. If the Bulls were Michael's children, they all graduated and moved on to hold their own on other teams, so you don't have an argument do you?
