That was a fantastic episode of Little house so gripping.

Michael and Johnny always had such an incredible rapport, such clever rapid banter! Like about hauling nitro (Michael: it's a blast...Johnny: but you must be willing to travel). I love how Johnny mentions actor Richard Jaeckel from the clip, Richard did a memorable Bonanza episode in 1964 "Between Heaven and Earth" and has 193 acting credits. Also in that clip is veteran actor Bill Quinn who did tons of TV westerns.

I want to see every appearance by Michael on "The Tonight Show." One famous clip I haven't seen in many many years is during the Joan Rivers debacle when she got her own show and didn't tell Johnny, he was beyond upset. So Michael came on and set up this long clip which surely he had something to do with, of someone canoeing upsteam a river, paddling and paddling...and the punch line was...can you guess? The audience roared.

I always thought of Michael Landon as a father figure ! True he was stern with his kids and probably spanked them when they were naughty but he never beat his kids that is the way I saw him ! My real Dad was a bully and beat the tar out of me as a kid teen and even as a 30 year adult and now I am 65 years old ! He died when I was almost 32 years old !
