The truth about Schumacher needing his teammates to sign #2 driver contracts so they weren't allowed to beat compete against him on a level playing field has been leaked. His whole first career is based in a lie: "At the time I handled people like Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Irvine, Giancarlo Fisichella and Jean Alesi, and every time we went to sign a contract with Michael Schumacher or Ferrari it always had conditions in it" - Eddie Jordon. "Whether I signed with Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello or whoever they were - there was a clause there that they always had to play second-fiddle to Michael Schumacher.' Eddie Jordan "I had an opportunity to go to Ferrari but the contract that was offered by Jean was that if Michael was 5th and I was 4th, I had to move over, and, if I was 1st and he was 2nd, I had to move over.I couldn't sign a contract that committed me to being a #2" - David Coulthard. "Ferrari, the contract that was offered effectively made me, on paper, number two to Michael. I've no doubt that Michael was the stronger driver out of the two because I recognise he was a better overall package than I was but at that stage of my career, I just couldn't accept signing a number two contract and that's why I decided to sign at McLaren and I think that was the right decision for my career." David Coulthard.

Thats why I would always say that Lewis Hamilton is the luckiest man in the world. Kimi had such bad luck with reliability and when Lewis came his first DNF cause of reliability problems was in the middle of 2009! That means 2 1/2 years without any engine blow ups or anything from the car.

I like the width of today’s cars (particularly the fat tyres), but I agree that they’re too long. That era had beautiful cars and they were much lighter too. The only thing I don’t like about early-mid 2000s cars is that they had traction control.

This is still my favorite Schumacher race. It kinda had it all, Wet, then dry and Michael fighting through field to take the win. Ferrari VS Renault, Ferrari strategy VS Renault strategy, Schumacher VS Alonso VS Fisichella, Championship on the line. That daring all or nothing overtake from Michael on the grass at Turn 1, Bridgestone VS Michelin. The tires going in favor of Renault then it started to dry and the Bridgestone tires found pace. It was epic and Alonso charging back at Michael with everything he had and then Schumacher hanging on to take his 91st F1 victory. That was my childhood. I wish F1 TV had commentary for the classic race. This is the race I want F1 KZfaq to upload I've asked many a time. Please... It would mean so much to me. Keep Fighting Michael. I dont care what people say. Michael will always be the GOAT! Qualified P7 on his debut in a Jordan while replacing another driver (best qualifying result for Jordan that season) Went to Benetton (4th best team in the grid) and won two world titles with them (the first titles for Benetton ever in F1) Went to Ferrari (third best team at that moment while having contract proposals from the top teams like Williams and McLaren, but went to Ferrari instead) and became the face of the Italian brand by building his own team and helping mechanics by himself on his own car and giving Ferrari their first F1 titles in more than 20 years! He did something that no other driver has ever done before and did that TWICE! If Michael took the “easy” route, he would be a 10+ world champion easily.

I know the new cars are on rails at this stage but they are boring my bit's off! Time for in race refueling, no tyre markings, no control tyre's, and more strategy. This is so true. Ross Brawn once admitted that when he proposed to Mercedes that he wanted to bring in Michael the ones who opposed were these "people we got from Manor who didn't want Michael in the team because they knew what kind of work they had to do once he was in the team". Norbert Haug swiftly approved Michael's deal to join Mercedes and the team you see today is in no small part due to the time they spent with Schumi as Toto Wolff himself admitted: "Michael Schumacher is one of the founders of our success today."

@@HighFlyingOwlOfMinerva Politically correct yes,but in terms of competition it has always been like that, with the top teams winning all the time and the midfield catching one podium here and there. @@Brenooliveira8989 Not true, the 1970s to 2008 was accompanied by many titanic battles, both between rider and teams, as well as iconic races which have become more rare as time goes on. Even during the dominant eras of Williams and Ferrari there still was a decent amount of competition, but since the eras of Red Bull and Mercedes it has become more and more predictable and that is a true shame.

Ricciardo took 3 wins to Vettel's 0 in 2014 (Hamilton is the only driver in history without a winless season), while the same would've happened in 2019 if Vettel hadn't had the undercut in Singapore (though granted, even as a Hamilton fan I kinda think that Vettel should've won Canada, while Leclerc deserved Bahrain and Russia).
