COULD BE THE MESSIAH Been here for days, I'm amazed At this teacher, carpenter, preacher Lost in the crowd. I hear him now He's praying and he's saying "God feed them all" Five-thousand men, all of his Friends are worried find Bread and hurry Five loaves and fish, what can he Wish, he's praying still he's Saying "God feed them all" Chorus: Could he be the Messiah? Miracle man, part of the plan Could he be the Messiah? Life in his hand I understand he could be... Meet for our needs fully he Feeds our hunger older and younger Twelve baskets more Can we ignore, he shows us that he Knows us, is he the Christ? (Chorus) (Repeat Chorus) It is he the Messiah! Miracle man, part of the plan It is he, the Messiah! Life in his hand I understand it is he (repeat chorus)

If your kids/grand-kids ever ask you "mom, dad, what was Christian music like in the 80's?" I think this is your go-to video. But, yeah, I loved it back then too. Of course, I used to think Jesus was so happy to have all these songs written about him. But now I think he'd choose "Imagine" as his favorite song.

Is the world so blind that they can’t see the Messiah singing through, writing through, producing through this man chosen before the foundation of the world. How could anyone deny God’s electing grace. Yes the world is blind until God’s revelation awakens the Stoney heart. God have mercy on us.

@fatherman73 From the mid 80's to early 90's, it was common practice for most artists who have very layered backing vocals in the studio to pre-record "live" backing vocals for concerts. They ARE performing live, but there IS a tape of the the backing vocals they recorded playing during the chorus. Listen to it again. Michael's voice is one of the backing vocal parts. Every artist did it. I know this because I worked with a lot of the artists helping them do such a thing.

This live performance is so close to recording studio quality that I had to watch and listen closely just to confirm that it was actually live. Man! You just rarely find that in a live recording. And they spared no piece of the orchestration. Everything is there. Still not totally convinced that they're not lip syncing to a recording

In my teen years I used to listen to the most vilest and wicked music.That music was heavy metal ,which truly is spawned from the very gates of hell.I am glad that the LORD God is who he is .The light of the LORD pierces the darkness.Satan has enslaved so many people with lies. But the devil is defeated and he knows it. Bless the King of kings and the Lord of Lords: the Lord Jesus Christ.Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing.

Satan doesnt spawn any type of music. Heavy metal is no more vile than any other. Bands like Stryper and others provided a hard rock/ metal sound with wholesome lyrics and Godly themes. Its the message of the music, not the genre that is sinful.

I like Micheal W Smith and his music. After discovering Christianity is not true, I got rid of all my books, my Bible and anything else to do with the Faith. I kept my 2 tapes I had of his music and still have them.
@BUTLERNIXON6 жыл бұрын
Glad you still like his early music. When I started out with some Christian Music there were some absolutely horrible artists and some were even homophobic, do it my way or you are going to hell, and just lots of complete opposite of what true Christianity is about. So I can see your point. Lots of great music still out there from Christian artists and some crap.. I am still a Christian and found a great non-denominational church that hates religion. Hope your journey goes well.

OK, what's the deal with the drummer's shorts? it just ain't right for being on stage.
@awg40k277 жыл бұрын
why can,t he wear shorts?? its not like they where wearing long pants in the bible-days. and its never mentioned in the bible neither. its very right to wear short pants when your a drummer, you need all the movement you can get, a drummer uses his whole body to play the music, hands and feet are both equally needed. so yeah some shorts for optimum movement and it keeps him better cooled. playing the drums is one of the most fysical demanding way of making music.
