I was thinking the same thing. Though unsure if it would need to be on the surface or not. I'm sure the solution would have just been some MichaelHendrixPatentedHandFeedingTM to a silo out by the mines.

With the amount of pollution out there, as soon as you clear an attacking party, a new one will take its place almost instantly, you would get a momentary increase in UPS, then it would drop even further as all the new attacks do their pathfinding simultaneously, and pollution starts getting absorbed everywhere at once. It would be more harmful than beneficial

Would need a spidertron army or multiple upgrades to artillery range to do anything to the biters at this point to control the land, unfortunately nukes are just temporary fixes since they don't deny expansions.

But they can't kill FedEx!

I don't think other planets are processed. In-universe, once the polluting warp reactor disappeared, the spawning of new biters would eventually slow down... maybe...

Yeah homeworld counts like a normal warp, resetting pollution. The warp platform pollution can never be stopped though, unfortunately

@@bingusbongus9807 I see, I misunderstood which planet you were referring to by "THAT planet". Warping is the only way to keep pollution manageable? If you warp somewhere and then immediately back, will the pollution have disappeared?

I wish there there was an endgame tech which fixes the warp reactor, provided that its powered with warponium fuel cells, but there isn't (the stabilizer comes close but you need to know an exploit of which techs NOT to research to be able to effectively use it). So warping out is the only other option to manage pollution. you can't return to any disposable warpzone (as they get deleted upon warping out), permanent planets (you can have 2) stay loaded at all times, so pollution will slowly start to dissipate if you warp away, and I believe the pollution output will reset to "just arrived" when warping back.

Their effect is 1/10th of the warp beacon and only local, so (under the effect area of the warp beacon) it's almost always better to build extra machines instead of beacons

No, the calculations come from all the biters on the way to the center. It doesn't matter if we kill them or if we wait for them to despawn after arriving.

Take a close look at the rocket silo... It literally has a horizontally sliding door revealing the underground!

@@MichaelHendriks Yea but the silo itself is still further underground. I suppose you could argue that you should be able to see the rocket if you go down another level as well then. Maybe it should only be placed on the very bottom?

It would be cool if it'd actually burst through all the behemoth biters on the warp platform
