Happy New Year! I made a short film about how we lose our imagination as we grow older, and how it's killing our success and motivation in life. Here's how you can bring your imagination back as an adult...as start seeing the world in color.
Looking forward to a creative, successful year, and I wish you the same!
here’s another more recent short film:
your life isn't a sad story :)
• embrace your intuition...

Mayby it'll help if you try and make more friends? And really keep those friendships warm! I'd say try to make at least 8 friends and visit your family a lot as well. Try to have meaniglngful conversations, mayby it'll help? The best of luck!!!!

Love the videos man. At 33, it's hard watching friends and family get stuck in autopilot. I've solo travelled on and off for years, and truly believe the mind can only be happy in the routine for so long.

Creativity is enemy of corporate culture. Yes, they will give lip service to it but it's not actually fallowed through in practice. To be truly creative you need to try things and fail. Then fail again, and again and again learning a little each time until something comes of it. In the corporate world they want you to get things right the first time. Failing cost money, and often career advancement so fear rules the day and doing what's safe becomes the norm.

Yes. But not only that, a request comes in for something that has nothing to do with your department so you wonder…write an email letting the idiot know it should go to IT? OR use it as job security and submit “ best guess data” knowing no one will check it and the decision was already made prior to this email being written. Oh, yeah. Happy New Year.

I’m a 46-year-old Gen X’er And I refuse to grow up. I’m a dad, and now a grandpa, but I still love hanging out with my grandkids and playing Legos with them. I might be getting old, but I’ll always be a kid at heart. It is definitely the best thing for your mental health and well-being!

Hey Michael, just wanted to say that this really spoke to me...thank you! As im typing this, I'm remembering sitting in a dark hotel room with my family sleeping, but i was up on my laptop editing a sunset picture by the nearby beach. I was honestly amazed by the patterns in the sand and how the shadows added so much depth and character. I was genuinely ecstatic with how the picture turned out. I kinda lost that spark for landscape photography, but now im starting to think about what little trips i could plan to express my creativity through photos. Thanks for all your awesome reminders. Hoping this resonates with others out there feeling lost ❤️❤️

Great video Michael. As one of your more "mature" followers (don't know what that exactly means), I have discovered that you never have to give up on experiencing the world from a kid's perspective, constantly exploring new things and experiences. I am a native Los Angeleno, but still finding new things to do. Love your videos, keep it up. Happy New Year.

Michael, incredible video. So well written and edited. I'm just a few years older than you, and it resonated deeply with me. I've been in a bit of a funk lately. A day before you uploaded this, I watched old family videos from when I was a kid. I didn't know why, I guess I was just looking to reconnect with my old self. Coincidentally, I bought a few comics for the first time in like 25 years, because they used to bring me happiness. It's really interesting to read them from an adult perspective now, they have a whole new meaning and depth. So seeing this, it was just in perfect alignment with my own journey. As I was reflecting, I realized that the one year I lived in California a few years ago was possibly where I had happiness in nearly every aspect of life. I am now trying to figure out how I can move back out there, and the plan is to do it this year! I can't let fear hold me back. Thank you for the inspiration Michael!

Hey man this was a nice video. When I visited California I met a man in a diving shop and he heard I was from NJ he said he gave up wearing heavy coats, sweaters and gloves 40 years ago and I giggled and told him that I turn 40 this summer and he said hey California is here for you. Just like how you say this world we live in was made for us all.

I find this as Michael's most provocative video. Some times, an avalanche has started and I was shoved along on crooked paths. Eg. High school, adult transitions were not all wasted, but a reflective learning lessons upon a false tautology to choose only the social ideologies presented when all along, the proper answer was to follow my own.

I loved the part where you said "reenact a scene from Harry Potter using a tree branch as you wand" cause I'm a big fan of "Harry Potter"!🙌 It's been a while I feel bad and bored, nothing makes me happy , I think of everything it could make me happy and alive but I can't find anything ,even going to nature, maybe it'd change my bad feeling just a little bit but that's temporary, I don't know why did I become like this, I really don't know what to do, I recently re-watched the HP series with my family and really enjoyed it but at the end of the movies I got bored again! If there would be something that could make us happy and excited forever, what would it be? what do you think? everybody?
