I've said this before, but it was so true on Tuesday night. The Sacramento music scene is so good and active right now right now. This show had Strange Party opening (1st show in 6mo), then The Moans, then Michale Graves. On a Tuesday night! What a lineup. What I am trying to say here, is that you MUST get out and go to shows here. SO much great stuff happening.
Michale had the crowd completely transfixed throughout the set. This is only one camera, I did not feel right setting up a bunch of cameras for such an intimate show. Thank goodness for the EXCELLENT soundboard recording, as he was sitting down so I had to shoot from behind the PA. SO GOOD- Please watch and listen. Thanks to Agelos for the sbd/video synch

Not only is his talent through the roof but he is an amazing person. Got to meet him after a show and hung out, had a couple drinks and was a down to earth as anyone. Always good to meet a talent that isn't to big for his fans.

He is a part of the ‘Proud Boy’ organization now. Anything he puts out now I am against. I will always listen to older stuff. Nothing new will pass my ears. If you don’t know about ‘The Proud Boys’ you should check it out. You’ll feel differently about this guy. Proud boys are like neo nazi.

You know something I always have a doubt and is why the public does not sing with the artists in moments like this? well maybe is something cultural because here in Chile even if it is a small recital all the people sing aloud with the artist but here them look zombies only applauding when he finished a song and well, that's shocking because they had a unique opportunity but all of them remain silence.

Yeah here if somebody sung over top of Michale Graves they'd get the piss knocked out of them before lying in the back alley talking to themselves.

Glad you asked, it's because it's super annoying and ruins the show for everyone (especially the singer) when people sing at acoustic shows. More than not audiences don't realize that and ruin the whole show and Vibe. Having a recital with your friendst back at the artist in this setting would be as out of place as stage diving would be, it's neither the time, nor the place. There's a lot of dynamics tothis kind of performance it's gets very loud and then suddenly soft and there's hushy whispery parts and those parts are EVERYTHING when you let the artist control them. Sharing silence with a large group of people is actually awesome. It means everyone is really watching, paying attention, and sharing the moment That's how an artist rehearses and anticipates an acoustic performance to go when they prepare it for you, and it's very seldom an audience allows it, and that's a shame cause if they do the reward is an intimate moment to share with the artist, audience and songs you love ¿ -( idiots howling like a pack of dogs along to what they think the words are as they sing in their shower it's a total buzz kill. 90% of his shows are ruined by people who just don't get it, it's not about you, it's not your show, it's not your shower, no one paid to hear you sing and if you just shit up for a moment and listen ya may just enjoy the show the artist prepared for you. Theres a time and place for the drunken sing a longs... When there's a drummer and wall of amps, a mosh put and crowd surfing

I can see where you are coming from. And i agree, to an extent. However, like you stated, in America we like to scream the music and this audience is out of the norm. "We" dont try to be a part of the show. "We" are showing appreciation to the artist in the sense that we know the music, we love it and it compels us to be involved and sing...or do something. As an artist id love to see my audience involved in some way. Its music that EVERYONE knows. Its not some poetry recital. Id be offended if people werent singing or dancing or moshing. Id feel as if my music generated no interest or spark or had no impact. When people are compeled to sing along with your music it shows that you have struck a chord in their emotions. If you prefer people to shut up and listen then maybe you should stick to poetry recitals or instrumentals for your entertainment MR. godemperorofmankind.

I know a lot of Michale's music outside of Misfits stuff and i would sing along with that too. Its great, inspiring music. On songs i dont know and am not familiar with i sit and watch and learn the song. And listen. Most people dont scream just for the sake of screaming. And if they do then they're usually removed. Case-in-point, the last time i saw him in Fresno, Ca. he stopped and had a female removed. she just wouldnt shut up. We were all glad. But an artist should ALWAYS be shown that his music is known, loved, and appreciated. Otherwise, they just stop touring. And acoustic or not, emotion inspiring music is emotion inspiring music .If you know it, love it, sing it, live it.

Yeah, it's super annoying when people sing at acoustic shows. More than not audiences don't realize that and ruin the whole show and vibe. There's a lot of dynamics going on when someone plays like this. It gets very loud and then suddenly soft and there's hushy whispery parts and when you have 35 drunkin idiots howling like a pack of dogs along to what they think the words are as they sing in their shower it's a total buzz kill. 90% of his shows are ruined by people who just don't get it. It's not about you, it's not your show, it's not your shower, no one paid to hear you sing and if you just shit up for a moment and listened ya may just enjoy the show the artist prepared for you. Theres a time and place for the drunken sing a longs... When there's a drummer and wall of amps, a mosh pit, and crowd surfing, please by all means sing along. But out of respect for the artist, and everyone who came to see them. If you think standing in front of the artist and singing along and over an acoustic guitar and single vocal youre ruining the entire show, vibe, show, and experience for everyone involved. Silence is amazing to share with a crowd and artist. When a performer rehearse and puts together an acoustic show they aren't anticipating a drunken pack of dogs howling in the background, trust me. Nothing will give you goosebumps like the silent and quiet moments being silent and quiet in a packed house. If you're ever lucky enough to find yourself in the right venue, with the right vibe, and an audience capable or willing to show an audience that kind of respect (especially Michale) Keep your mouth shut and dont even think too loud because you're about to hear and be a part of something really special. It has nothing to do with geography, some people are just selfish, make everything about themselves, and see an audience who's in fact captivated, in the moment, and hanging on every word and lyric of every song as "lame", or "weak" ...No, you're just uncultured, immature, selfish, can't read a room, like a turd in a punch bowl.
