@Snap your fingers snap your neck he’s an awesome singer who is a great writer of songs and music. Someone who really knows how to take feelings and transform them into something that everybody can understand and know where he’s coming from and help to kinda feel what he was feeling at the time it was written so they too can peek into the window of his soul

@Snap your fingers snap your neck agree, genious is a really big word, Michale is an artist yeah, based on that description "knows how to take feelings and transform them into something that everybody can understand"... yes an artist, not a genious

@Snap your fingers snap your neck i mean, you are forgetting that just because there are certain borders, that doesn't empty the meaning of the word artist, his songs may not be amazing or masterpieces, but that changes nothing... music is music and it satisfies different tastes

There will always be a soft spot in my heart for Graves. What he did with the Misfits was truly amazing and filled a gap the band truly needed during that strange time in music. He's singing his freaking heart out blowing his vocals hard on "GRAVEYARD" you can almost feel the anguish that made him write it. To a measly 30people everyone of them singing right back at him. Miss your performances bro,N8knox

He was better than Danzig, The whole band was better with Graves. The songs were better written; more technical, better harmonies, riffs, and vocal arrangements. I grew up on the original Misfits, but when this album came out I instantly knew it was better. It doesn't mean the old Misfits weren't great. Danzig did have better lyrics in my opinion.
@Disciple0fMetal6 жыл бұрын
I agree. I enjoy his voice. When I first heard graves as a teen, I was actually also really getting into priest and maiden and all that good stuff so I was getting accustomed to hearing operatic voices with melody. Now, graves is nowhere near them BUT he had this unique sounding voice for what he was doing. different from glenn. Glenn has melody but I think graves had the range and that allowed them to expand their sound.

I actually like the record American Psycho, but they should have just called the band that. Without Danzig, there is no Misfits. Danzig and Only were not Lennon/McCartney or Jagger/Richards. Glen started the band with a different bass player. He came up with the name, the image, wrote 100% of the music and lyrics. It is more like someone trying to keep Nine Inch Nails going without Trent Reznor, or Foo Fighters without Dave Grohl.

For real, it is very rare that anyone actually gets to hear from the writer themselves about THE ACTUAL ORIGINAL version of a song... you know, before everyone else got their dirty money-hungry/famewhore paws all up on it and molested it?! Yeah.... the actual OG og version of a "popular" song is rare to come by IMO. Gold🌟 I love how he plays it! Just a complete different take on a classic... and who knew, he is the individual who wrote this shit! "Stupid" little details about music and artist history never fail to blow my mind. Dig Up Her Bones Misfits Anything is what she is Anywhere is where she's from Anything is what she'll be Anything as long as it's mine And the door it opens way back in Or is it way back out? Anyplace is where she'll be Anyplace she'll see you from Lies and secrets become your world Anytime, anywhere, she takes me away And death climbs up the steps one by one To give you the rose That's been burnt by her son Point me to the sky above I can't get there on my own Walk me to the graveyard Dig up her bones I have seen the demon's face I have heard of her death place I fall down on my knees In praise of the... Horrible things that took her away And death climbs up the steps one by one To give you the rose That's been burnt by her son Point me to the sky above I can't get there on my own Walk me to the graveyard Dig up her bones Point me to the sky above I can't get there on my own Walk me to the graveyard Dig up her bones, bones

That was fantastic! And that "thanks a lot" at the end was adorable
