I remember when that cd first came out (famous monsters), I was almost 16 and was deeply "in love" and I would play that song over and over on repeat lol. It didn't work out (most relationships don't at that age) and long story short, it didn't take long for that thin line of "love" to turn to hate.

what I really like about the album and misfits in general - it is often about violence, sometimes even about killing women, sometimes about BDSM (or so it seems). But it manages to never get sexist or misogynist. There are a few bands who stepped in their footsteps and really fucked that part up.

God, I wish I could relate to the Julie story. Odd I know. I was that guy, and not that guy. I was/am that shy, don't talk to anyone, be alone in the back type guy. People wouldn't let me be though. I was CONSTANTLY anxious and scared but I guess it came off different. I have a SERIOUS self image issue, no clue why. No trauma or anything to make me feel this way..just do. I have been told my whole life that I'm quite good looking, that I'm built great etc.. (I seriously don't know why. I am NOT any of that) I got a LOT of attention and just about everybody was cool with me and wanted to hang out regardless of how awkwardly I just backed away from it. Older girls would befriend my sister, come over and spend all night/day with me...ask ME out repeatedly etc etc. Older guys always tried to fight me for some reason....that sucked. I just wanted to be left alone. I never went out with anyone, never really had a girlfriend or anything (not for lack of wanting, like I said I was a scared, shy mess). I used to think I was being made fun of most the time.....not many people out there to really relate to in that way that people trend to relate with each other over shit like being the weird kid or whatever. Don't know why I'm putting this all down here and now. Probably because, like I said, no one I can relate to and I doubt many, if any, will see it.

Your story will probably be seen by more people than you think. I'll be with Michale this weekend, I'll tell him to take a minute and read your story. Thanks for sharing.

I love Saturday night, but when I saw the last part of the video I understood why he was removed from Misfits, he could take the band into a happy punk ballad concept. After I have seen The Misfits' Madison Square Garden concert in 2019, it is impossible back to Graves' days anymore.

I don’t see a happy ending in that song. I always thought it was about a delusional serial killer who can’t help but kill the women he loves. By the way: I saw Mike with the Misfit in 2001 in NJ. Divinity Destoryed opened for them. While driving home, the cops had a problem with my driving practices. It was a long night. I forget the club. It was off of route 9.
