Great video! I was waiting for something like this because I wanted to get a longer focal length. Do you think it will be ok with the shorter teleconverter too? I wanted to go longer with the 60 macro but I don't need a 120mm... Did you modified the extension tube insert right? Adding the extension tube on the TC did the overall working distance get longer or shorter?

Hi, if you want used 1.4x teleconverter(instead 2.0x), I think this is a good choice, it should be sharper and lighter(less f-stops down). with extension tube working distance get shorter - so you can get a little more magnification

@@Romansu Thanks for the answer. I'm wondering: to perform your trick I have to use both TC and extension: will the final working distance be longer or shorter compared to the initial one?

Hi, extension tube are used to reduce the minimum distance to an object(60mm F2.8 Macro lens - closest focusing distance 0.19m). due to the physical size of the teleconverter, it is necessary to install a extension tube with it. when installing TC and extension tube, the distance does not change much, but you can add another extension tube. teleconverter itself just gives optical zoom

Very nice, thanks for share! One question; Do you think it's possible to do the same with the considerably cheaper Olympus MC-20 teleconverter? I currently use the OMD EM1 III with the panasonic 100-400. Thanks on advance.

Hi, I have not tested it, but I think that it is possible, since they do not differ much in physical size

@@garybrown9719 Some people say no, because the electronic contacts are not the same, but I bet it will work fine. Still, not tested so it remain as an educated guess.

I didn't check it. the adapter gives lower quality and it's probably just better to buy another lens (like 100-400mm)

Hello. Yes it works. but at longer focal lengths, the efficiency is lower and high-quality shooting is possible only on static scenes

Isn't there more chances to get some dirt deep into lenses, after removing plastic cover?

hi, absolutely not. but you need to be careful when installing lens, because the cover protects the flex cable of the lens contacts from possible physical damage
